It’s not known whether her reported hospitalization is related to her MS battle. Applegate was first diagnosed with MS in 2021.

A spokesperson for Applegate told New York Post’s Page Six, “I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are. She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”

The news of hospitalization comes after Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Applegate’s co-host on the MeSsy podcast, announced on March 31 that the show would be on hiatus while both hosts go on book tours.

Applegate has spoken openly about MS

The “Jesse” star has always been open about her ongoing MS battle.

In a February interview with People magazine, Applegate talked about how she still tries to be involved in the life of her 15-year-old daughter, Sadie, despite being in constant pain.

I want to take her (to school); it’s my favourite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves,” Applegate told People. “I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do.”

Applegate first revealed her diagnosis in an emotional August 2021 post on X.

“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition,” she tweeted. “It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a–hole blocks it.

“As one of my friends that has MS said, ‘We wake up and take the indicated action.’ And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo.”

In March, Applegate released her memoir, “You With the Sad Eyes,” in which she talked about struggling with MS.

When I wake up, I often can’t get my arm to move far enough to grab the cup of water by my bed or my phone from its charger,” Applegate wrote in her book, per TMZ.
