According to reports, Hunnam is all set to play the role of a notorious real-life serial killed Ed Gein. The actor will appear as a fictionalized version of Gein in the third season of Netflix’s anthology crime-drama series Monster. Here is everything you need to know about Hunnam’s new role, and why it is more evil than Jax Teller.

Charlie Hunnam’s Monster Season 3 Role Will Put His Sons of Anarchy Character to Shame

Actor Charlie Hunnam played the role of Jackson “Jax” Teller in all seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy. In the series, Jax makes various morally questionable choices. He even goes as far as to take away his son from his mother, abandoning him and later causing the death of his adoptive parents.

Moreover, Jax also committed several crimes, including murders during the show’s run. However, Hunnam has reportedly signed on for a role that is easily more evil than his most famous character. The actor will portray the real-life suspected serial killer and body snatcher, Ed Gein in season 3 of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series Monster.

Gein committed most of his crimes around his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin, and gained media attention after the discovery of keepsakes he had fashioned from some of his alleged victims. According to reports, Gein crafted several distributing artifacts from dead bodies, earning him the moniker of Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul.

He later confessed to killing two women, which eventually led to his trial. However, he was found legally insane and was remanded to a psychiatric institution. Gein’s heinous crimes are a level above the atrocities of Jax, which makes him an even more evil character than Hunnam’s turn as the infamous biker.

Fans Admit Charlie Hunnam Is Perfect For the Role of Ed Gein
