A vehicle driven by a man and a woman wanted on nationwide warrants for last week’s slaying of a Niagara Falls man has been recovered in the Montreal area.

An update from Niagara Regional Police said officers in St. Eustache, Que., an off-island community west of Montreal, recovered a Toyota Camry connected to Maaroof Bangi, 23, and Josta Grace MacNeal, 30, who are wanted for the second-degree murder of Mitchell Snoddon, 35.

It was the third vehicle recovered by cops in the investigation.

“MacNeal and Bangi continue to be at large and detectives are appealing to the public for any information on their whereabouts,” Niagara police said in a news release issued on Thursday.

“It is unknown at this time if MacNeal and Bangi are operating a new vehicle.”

Pair had been spotted near Peterborough

Cops began investigating the fatal shooting of a male victim on July 16 at about 8:50 p.m. at a residence on Thorold Stone Rd. near Dorchester Rd. in the north end of Niagara Falls.

They said two suspects showed up at the home and allegedly shot the victim with a handgun. The man, later identified as Snoddon, was rushed to a hospital and died of his injuries there.

MacNeal and Bangi were identified as suspects in the case with a nationwide warrant issued for their arrests.

Police believe they are armed and dangerous as a firearm has yet to be recovered in the case.

MacNeal and Bangi had previously been spotted on Hwy. 45 in Hastings, Ont., east of Peterborough, and cops had also located a white newer-model Nissan Rogue SUV and a black 2021 Mazda CX5 linked to the pair.

Known to changed their appearances

They said the two are known to disguise their appearance including changes in facial hair, length and/or colour of hair, makeup and clothing styles, although MacNeal has a distinctive feather tattoo on the left side of her neck.

“If either party is observed, please do not approach them and call 911,” police said.
