Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 Roadmap Explained: New Maps, Weapons & More

After weeks of anticipation, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 is finally here, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest updates for the game yet. Treyarch and Activision have packed this season with a massive lineup of content, which brings us new and returning multiplayer maps, fresh game modes, endgame activities, new weapons and attachments, operators, the Blackcell Pass, and plenty of other things. All Maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 Multiplayer & Zombies

So, when it comes to the multiplayer side of things, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 brings us a total of five new maps. Let’s take a look at each of them –

• Liminal – This is a small-sized, brand-new 6v6/2v2 map and allows players to fight right inside the Guild center. Expect intense close-quarters combat and human experiments scattered throughout the area.
• Primetime – This is a new medium-sized 6v6 map which is themed around a Japanese game show obstacle course. Get ready to battle across tracks, leap over walls, and fight through crates.
• Vertigo – This is a medium-sized 6v6 map that’s making a return from Black Ops 2 but has been completely remastered. Although the map has moved to a Japanese setting, veterans won’t forget its classic layout.
• Launch – Another fan-favorite returning from the original Black Ops, Launch arrives as a mid-season addition. The medium-sized 6v6 map brings back its iconic battleground.
• Zenith – Another mid-season rollout will be the 6v6/2v2 medium-sized map called the Zenith. Although it’s set around a luxurious mansion, you’ll be dealing with brutal firefights.

Don’t feel left out, Zombies fans, as Black Ops 7 Season 4 also brings two new maps for the undead slaying action –

• Kowakujo – The round-based zombies map takes players to the feudal Japanese castles surrounded by volcanic chaos and deadly threats.
• Nuked – Players will battle zombie hordes in the streets between the Yellow House and Green House.

Alongside these weapons, Season 4 is also introducing four new attachments designed to enhance your arsenal and give your loadouts an extra edge in combat –

• LTI Stentorian Brake – This heavy muzzle improves recoil control and bullet deviation, with a boost to your fire rate.
• M10 Breacher Argus Lever – A conversion for all the mighty M10 Breacher. Install this, and you’ll see an improved pellet spread and faster fire rate.
• XR-3 Ion Vulcan Minigun -Transform your XR-3 Ion into a deadly machine with this underbarrel attachment.
• DS20 Mirage Dual Fire Kit – The underbarel attachment replaces your ADS, but for enhanced damage and semi-auto firing capability.
• Velox 5.7 Carbine Chassis – A simple barrel conversion to make the Velox 5.7 into a lightweight full-auto weapon.

New Endgame Content in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4

Season 4 also pushes the endgame content further with a wave of new challenges, upgrades, and progression systems. On the Operations side, The Guild has returned with Operation Wall Breaker, bringing new objectives, rewards, and high-intensity encounters. Those brave enough to push deep will also come face-to-face with the deadly Command Glitch Fracture Boss.

Black Ops 7 Season 4 also brings Operator Prestige, giving players a brand-new progression path. Those who manage to max out their Prestige and Combat Rating will unlock new ways to expand their build, including access to a fourth Skill Track alongside Nightmare and Exotic slots.

Season 4 doesn’t stop there either, as the Death Machine Major Ability joins the action as well. Meanwhile, the mid-season update will bring the Psych Grenade Minor Ability and Guardian Skill Track, which will be useful for transforming players into frontline tanks.

New Game Modes & Additional Content in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4

One of the biggest highlights of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 is the introduction of Black Ops Classic Mode. This takes inspiration from the original Black Ops experience, and throws players into a fight with simplified movement mechanics and loadouts for traditional gameplay. Say goodbye to the infamous omnimovement!

Another introduction is Gun Game, where players must go through a rotating lineup of Weapon Blueprints by earning eliminations. As the season continues, mid-season updates will also bring back popular modes such as 6v6 Gunfight, Team Blueprint Sharpshooter, and Knife Fight.

Of course, there’s also a new Battle Pass, packed with unlockable weapon blueprints, calling cards, emotes, and plenty of other cosmetics. Players who want to get even more cosmetics can purchase the BlackCell upgrade, which brings the exclusive Catalyst Operator and a special Mastercraft Weapon Blueprint.

Ranked Play is also entering a new era in Black Ops 7, as Treyarch has completely revamped the Skill Rating system for the latest season. Alongside the competitive overhaul, players can also look forward to new weekly challenges, the Illicit Cargo Camo Event, the Nuked Challenge event, and several other mid-season events arriving throughout Season 4.
