In the latest press release from Apple TV, it was announced that the eight-episode comedy will premiere on September 23, 2026. The first two episodes of Brothers will drop on that Wednesday. The subsequent episodes will drop weekly on Wednesdays until November 4, 2026.

Other executive producers of the show include Natalie Sandy, David West Read, Trish Hofmann, Bill Bost, Jason Winer, David Finkel, and Brett Baer. The pilot episode is directed by Trent O’Donnell, who has also directed other episodes in the show.

I don’t know because we haven’t done the testing, but I can say that there’s a lot of almost insane coincidences. His mom had a relationship with my dad right around the time he was conceived. That seems like a big coincidence.

While Harrelson was excited about the whole thing and wanted to take a DNA test, McConaughey wasn’t sure about learning the truth after 53 years. The two stars turned this personal story into a hilarious plot for their show. In Brothers, the ‘truth’ comes out at a vulnerable time when Woody’s daughter’s wedding falls apart, and he arrives at Matthew’s ranch for a healing getaway. The logline of the show further reads:

As Woody turns the ranch upside down in pursuit of the truth, Matthew finds himself juggling an entirely different identity crisis: a potential run for Governor of Texas. The result is a heartfelt, chaotic and wildly funny story about friendship, family, fame and the messy line between myth and reality.

Fans who have been following the rumors about the co-stars will find the chaotic plot interesting. Woody Harrelson last appeared in the Cannes-released French comedy movie, Full Phil, while McConaughey’s last outing was The Lost Bus last year.
