Borussia Dortmund in talks to sign Roma star

Borussia Dortmund could step up their interest in AS Roma attacker Matías Soulé.

Borussia Dortmund have opened talks with representatives of AS Roma forward Matías Soulé over a potential summer transfer, according to Sky Germany.

The 23-year-old is understood to have a €25-30 million release clause in his contract, which runs until 2029.

Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio also reports on Borussia Dortmund’s interest in the player, claiming that BVB are currently the club showing the strongest and most concrete intent to sign Soulé.

Soulé is capable of operating on the right wing, as a central attacking midfielder or in a secondary striker role.

He scored seven goals and provided eight assists in 42 appearances during the 2025/26 season.
