World Cup: Kane starts as England pursue last-16 spot against Congo DR

The Bayern Munich striker is in once again to start as England seek a passage to the Round of 16 against Congo DR.

We have reached the Round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup and things are starting to get serious for those involved. There are no second chances beyond this stage of the tournament.

Facing off this evening at 18:00 CET in Atlanta, one of the hot favourites in England prepare to face off against Congo DR, who have reached this knockouts for the first time in their history. 

It's no surprise as Bayern Munich's talisman Harry Kane and ex-Dortmund star Jude Bellingham keep their place in Thomas Tuchel's side, while Leverkusen's Quansah misses out. 

As for Congo DR, nicknamed the Léopards, FC Augsburg's Nathaniel Mbuku gets the nod on the wing, while top-scorer and Newcastle star Yoanne Wissa will be keen to impress again.
