Black Clover: Every New Transformation Coming in Season 2, Ranked

Black Clover Season 2 is closer than ever, and it’s diving straight into the Spade Kingdom Raid, which is one of the biggest arcs in the entire series. Premiering October 3, 2026 (as per the official website) and covering Volumes 28 onward, this stretch of the story is packed with power-ups, and none of them have been animated before, so even manga readers get to see them brought to life for the first time.

From Asta finally syncing up with Liebe to a literal Devil King showing up, this arc raises the stakes fast.

6 Zenon Zogratis – Demon Sword Dainsleif

Starting things off on the villain side, Zenon fuses his own Bone Magic with the devil Beelzebub’s Spatial Magic to create this new cursed sword mid-fight against Yuno. It’s a genuinely scary upgrade and pushes Yuno to his limit, but it’s still just a weapon boost rather than a full transformation, which is why it lands at the bottom of this list.

5 Charlotte Roselei – Queen of Briars

Charlotte ranks a notch higher because she overcomes an actual curse that’s haunted her since childhood. By turning her weakened blue rose magic into anti-curse power and merging it with her red roses, she unlocks a whole new fighting style. It’s a bigger personal win than Zenon’s sword, even if the raw power gap between them isn’t huge.

4 Noelle Silva – Spirit Dive: Saint Valkyrie Dress

Noelle jumps ahead of Charlotte because her power-up hits Saint Stage, which is a tier that actually lets her hurt devils directly, something regular magic can’t do. That makes her rank higher than most other Black Bulls as well. Fusing with the water spirit Undine to pull this off is a much bigger leap than what Charlotte and Zenon pulled off, and it shows just how far Noelle’s come since the start of the anime.

3 Yuno – Spirit Dive Evolved, Saint Spirit of Zephyr

Yuno beats out Noelle because his version of Saint Stage comes at a moment when he’s fighting for his life against a Dark Triad member and actually wins, which makes the scene in the manga a whole lot more interesting. His bond with the wind spirit Sylph hits near-perfect sync, letting him land a real hit on Zenon’s devil heart.

2 Asta – Unite (with Liebe)

Asta’s Unite form takes the second spot because it’s the culmination of his entire relationship with Liebe. Instead of borrowing power like before, the two finally fully merge as equals. It’s also the form that keeps getting referenced and upgraded for the rest of the arc, making it feel like the true centerpiece of Asta’s growth. However, this also gets outranked by something on a totally different scale.

1 Lucifero – Manifestation (Half-Complete)

Here, Lucifero isn’t a hero getting stronger – he’s the actual King of Devils forcing his way into the real world for the first time. Even at only half-manifested, he effortlessly overpowers Magic Knight Captains who’ve been built up for the entire story. Every other transformation on this list exists because of the threat he represents, which is exactly why he tops the ranking.
