Beyonce reveals why she no longer makes music videos for her songs: The music is enough on its own

Beyonc isn't going to release any more music videos. Or at least that's what she she said in a recent interview with GQ magazine. Her latest album 'Cowboy Carter', released last March, does not contain any, not even her famous 'Texas Hold'em'.

Of course, all this has a reason behind it, it's not random: "I thought it was important that, in an age where everything that comes to us is visual, the world could focus on the voice. The music is so rich in history and instrumentation..... It takes months to digest it, to research it and understand it. Music needs space to breathe on its own," she began.

"Sometimes the visuals can distract from the voice and the music. A four-year album requires a lot of hard work and detail. The music alone is enough. It was the fans from all over the world who put the visual aspect in. We got all the visuals from touring. And then more of the film."

She also talked about her musical journey: "I'm proud of what I've been able to do, but I also recognize the sacrifices, mine and my family's. There was a time when I put pressure on myself to meet unrealistic deadlines, not taking time to enjoy the benefits of working so hard.

Noting that she now knows how to work, without overdoing it, as in the beginning she claims she had no limits and works very hard: "Now I work smarter."
