The Firmware Updater is where you can spend all your Upgrade Components, those yellow resources found within the levels. There are three major departments in the Firmware Updater where you can invest: Suit, Primary Unit, and Hacking. Among these three, you should prioritize getting the Primary Unit upgrades first.

Upgrading your Primary Unit makes your weapons, like the Grip Gun, more efficient in dishing out damage with a higher stagger rate and less recoil.
