Ben Affleck's estranged relationship with Jennifer Lopez's children: He has not seen her kids in a long time

Ben Affleck has reportedly become distant from Jennifer Lopez's two children, despite Lopez's ongoing efforts to stay connected with his kids during their divorce. Lopez has maintained her relationship with his children throughout their marital challenges.

A source told People on Sunday that Affleck has "not been in touch" with Lopez's 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, even though Lopez remains close to Affleck's three children - Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 - as well as his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

The source also mentioned that Lopez continues to have a strong bond with the children her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, had from previous relationships.

"The fact that he has not seen her kids in a long time - it's like he left, but she is especially close to his kids," the insider noted.

"[Jennifer] went out there and told the world what a great dad he was."

Lopez spending time with Affleck's children

Despite the strain in their marriage, Lopez has been seen spending time with Affleck's children over the summer.

In July, Violet accompanied Lopez to the Hamptons just weeks before starting her freshman year at Yale University. The two were seen enjoying each other's company, sharing an ice cream and walking closely together.

Earlier this month, Lopez also took Samuel out for a shopping trip before returning him to Affleck's rental home in Brentwood, California.

However, despite these efforts, the couple's relationship continued to deteriorate, leading Lopez to file for divorce on August 20, citing April 26 as their separation date.

Affleck and Lopez had a high-profile romance that led to a Las Vegas elopement in July 2022, followed by a larger ceremony with family and friends in Georgia a month later. But their marriage quickly encountered difficulties, resulting in their recent split.
