Having binged all episodes of Beef Season 2, are you waiting to know when you can do this once again on Netflix? As of the day Beef Season 2 has been released, there is no official renewal announcement for Season 3.
The hit Netflix show was originally billed as a limited series on the platform, with the first season starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Over time, the show saw high praise and was renewed as an anthology, giving us a new story and cast in Beef Season 2. Will there be more?

Showrunner Lee Sung Jin Is Open to More ‘Beefs’
Lee Sung Jin | Credit: NetflixCreator and showrunner Lee Sung Jin had always envisioned his Beef show to be an anthology series, with his dream coming true a year and a half after the first season aired. Season 1 of Beef was the best binge of 2023, earning well-deserved success from critics and fans alike while bagging multiple wins at the Emmys and Golden Globes.
Speaking to Deadline, the showrunner elaborated on his plan for more Beef seasons:
I am incredibly grateful to have found a home at Netflix…. I am so excited to continue this relationship and create many more stories together.
Lee had also spoken to ELLE.com about more character types he’d like to explore with multiple other “beefs.” Time will tell if Beef gets a Season 3, given that Season 2 took three years to happen after the first one.
What Is the Likelihood of Beef Season 3?
Beef Season 2 launched on Netflix after much anticipation, and we’d needn’t look further than what people are saying about the new season to get an idea of how likely we’ll see another one. Judging by Rotten Tomatoes, Beef Season 2 currently has a Tomatometer score of 85% as of April 16, 2026.
Unlike Season 2, Season 1 of Beef stands at a tall 98% (Certified Fresh) Tomatometer score (as of April 16, 2026). Usually, RT scores debut high and fall over time, so this does not bode well for the new season. After the awards season and once the hype has died down, we’ll know exactly where the public and the creators stand with the show.
Beef is an immensely popular show that has a prestigious cast through and through. With the likes of Oscar Isaac and Steven Yeun in its repository, it’s easy to expect that Netflix will want to continue this idea. Season 2 will likely receive high viewership numbers based on brand name alone, even if the season does not live up to the expectations set by the first.
The viewership ratings, combined with its high likelihood of being nominated for awards, will probably give Netflix and A24 more reasons for the show to continue. Fans have come to love the idea of beefs being explored through its various lenses, and the cast and crew appear to be having an immensely joyous time doing the same.
