Kane Parsons, popularly known as Kane Pixels on YouTube, who directed the box office hit Backrooms horror feature film, also created a stunningly animated 6-video Attack on Titan live-action YouTube series using only VFX software such as Blender and Adobe After Effects.
The first video of the series, titled “Attack on Titan // Historical Footage,” was uploaded five years ago on February 21, 2021. In fact, this was one of his earliest breakthrough VFX works, as seen on the Kane Pixels YouTube channel. What makes it even more surprising is that, since Parsons is currently 20 years old, he created these terrifyingly realistic Attack on Titan live-action scenes at just 15 years of age!
Every Attack on Titan Scene Animated by Kane Parsons
The Path animated from Attack on Titan | Credits: Kane Pixels via YouTubeOnce you take a tour of Kane’s YouTube channel, you’ll realize just how talented the individual has always been. In fact, the historically realistic Attack on Titan footages he created can trick anyone unfamiliar with the series into believing these are real historical events captured on camera!
But as an Attack on Titan fan, you might wonder which scenes he actually animated from the anime/manga. Well, here’s the link to the 6-video playlist in case you want to check it out for yourself. Also, the titles of each of his AOT videos are provided below, highlighting the scenes that he animated:
- Attack on Titan – Declaration of War [Historical Footage]
- Attack on Titan – The Paths Animated
- Attack on Titan – The Rumbling Animated
- Attack on Titan – The Depths of Despair (different perspective of the Rumbling)
- Attack on Titan – The Ending Animated
- Attack on Titan // Historical Footage (a compilation of Titans attacking the walls)
Although his Backrooms clips paved the path for his career in the movie industry, Kane might not have reached this level of fame if he hadn’t created the Attack on Titan footages that amassed an astronomical number of views. But what plans might Kane have after the success of the Backrooms film in theatres?
Will Backrooms’ Success Lead to Attack on Titan’s Hollywood Adaptation?
While we already have a Japanese live-action adaptation of Attack on Titan, it’s safe to say the film wasn’t that well-received. However, with the success of Kane Parsons’ Backrooms, there remains a possibility of Hajime Isayama’s magnum opus receiving a Hollywood adaptation! But since it’s just speculation for now, we must keep our hopes up, but with low expectations to avoid disappointment.
That said, if another AOT live-action adaptation does get made, fans would likely vote for Kane Parsons to take the director’s position. His completely self-animated Attack on Titan clips on YouTube provide enough evidence that he might just be the perfect fit for a future AOT live-action adaptation.
