The art of moving on!
It’s a fresh chapter for both halves of former art-world power couple Rashid Johnson and Sheree Hovsepian, who appear to have found new love just five months after Page Six exclusively reported on the end of their 15-year marriage.
Actress Lake Bell gave her romance with the celebrated contemporary artist a very public debut on Halloween, sharing a selfie of the pair on Instagram and cheekily captioning it, “Happy Hallow-hard launch.”
The snap marked the first official confirmation of their relationship, with Bell and Johnson looking cozy as they celebrated the spooky holiday together.
On Monday, the pair attended the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards at American Museum of Natural History together, where they posed for pictures on the red carpet with their arms around each other.
The new romance comes five months after Johnson and Hovsepian, both prominent figures in the contemporary art scene, confirmed to Page Six they were separating after 15 years of marriage. And it seems Johnson isn’t the only one turning the page.
Page Six hears that Hovsepian has also been seriously dating.
The former couple, who share a 14-year-old son, announced their breakup in a joint statement, describing it as a “difficult decision” but emphasizing that their relationship would continue in a different form.
“We do so with love, care and deep respect for one another, recognizing that we will continue as friends and will always be a meaningful part of each other’s lives,” they said, adding that they remained committed to co-parenting their son. They also expressed optimism about the next phase of their lives and asked for privacy as their family navigated the transition.
Johnson and Hovsepian met while studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and went on to build impressive careers, becoming fixtures of New York’s art and cultural circles.
Johnson, represented by Hauser & Wirth, recently presented his major Guggenheim exhibition, “A Poem for Deep Thinkers,” while Hovsepian has exhibited at institutions including MoMA, the Guggenheim and the Art Institute of Chicago.
The pair also shared a taste for entertaining, hosting stylish gatherings for arts organizations such as Creative Time. In 2020, they purchased a five-story Gramercy Park townhouse once owned by musician Ric Ocasek and supermodel Paulina Porizkova. The home was subsequently featured in “The New York Times Style Magazine” under the headline “Art Lives Here.”
Despite their separation, the artists are collaborating on an exhibition at Château La Coste in France until January 17, 2027.
Bell, meanwhile, was previously married to tattoo artist Scott Campbell for seven years. The former couple, who share two children, finalized their split in 2020 and have continued to co-parent amicably.
Page Six has reached out to Johnson, Hovsepian and Bell for comment.
