As mentioned earlier, each pet has its own speciality that can’t be obtained from any gear. For example, a rabbit will boost your walking speed, and a frog will increase your jump height. Such buffs are possible to obtain only after getting a pet in Grow a Garden 2.
Similar to the above, several other pets are eager to serve you. Let’s take a look at their abilities one by one in the following table:
| Frog | Common | Increases jump height by +5 | 10,000 |
| Bunny | Common | Boosts walking speed by +5 | 20,000 |
| Owl | Uncommon | Extends your view distance by 12.5% at night, so you can see if someone’s coming to steal your plants. Also, it hoots loudly when a rare pet appears on the map. | 25,000 |
| Deer | Rare | Increases every plant’s growth speed by 10% | 50,000 |
| Robin | Legendary | Eats the ripe fruit in the garden and drops a seed in exchange. Rarer plants have fewer chances of their seeds dropping. | 75,000 |
| Bee | Legendary | Takes care of your garden by stinging the intruders at night. Intruders who are stung have their controls inverted temporarily. | 1,000,000 |
| Monkey | Mythic | Moves from one plant to another, picks them up, and brings them directly to you. It saves your time from harvesting plants manually. | 3,000,000 |
| Golden Dragonfly | Mythic | Doubles the chance of having a Golden plant. | 9,000,000 |
| Unicorn | Mythic | Doubles the chance of having a Rainbow plant. | 12,000,000 |
| Raccoon | Super | At night, it goes out to steal plants from gardens with no owners in them. Also, it increases your steal limit by +25. | 15,000,000 |
| Black Dragon | Super | Breathes fire on intruders who try to steal from your garden. | 1,000,000 |
| Ice Serpent | Super | Breathes frost flame on your intruders who try to steal from your garden. | – |
Don’t forget to acquire rare Seed Packs or seeds while running after the pets. They are equally important for your growth in this game. One more thing: redeem the active codes quickly, as they reward you with seeds, too.
How to Get Pets in Grow a Garden 2
Rabbit boosts your movement | Image via Strawberreh SquadThe most visible way of obtaining pets is by purchasing them when they spawn on the map. You can explore the area outside of your garden and find at least one random pet roaming around. It can be anything, like a rabbit, a robin, or a little bee. These pets will have a timer over their heads along with their respective prices. Once the timer on their head reaches zero, they will despawn.
You have to purchase them using Sheckles, the main in-game currency in Grow a Garden 2. Do check out our tips and tricks guide to learn how to farm Sheckles easily. Anyway, make sure to purchase them before the timer hits zero. Otherwise, you will then have to wait for them to spawn again. Once you purchase a pet, it will start moving towards your garden and make it its home.
Other ways to obtain a pet include hatching an egg. You can get Common Eggs as rewards after joining a Guild. Upon hatching them, you will get any of the following pets randomly:
- Frog
- Bunny
- Deer
- Robin
- Bee
- Unicorn
- Golden Dragonfly
- Raccoon
Guild Rewards in GAG 2 | Image via Strawberreh SquadApart from the eggs, some pets are directly obtained as a reward, like the Ice Serpent. There are also mutated variants of the Ice Serpent, but you can get them only when you advance higher into the guild leaderboard. Other variants of the Ice Serpent include the following:
- Rainbow Ice Serpent
- Big Ice Serpent
- Big Rainbow Ice Serpent
- Mega Ice Serpent
- Mega Rainbow Ice Serpent
Mutated variants give stronger buffs; hence, making it even easier for you to progress in Grow a Garden 2. By the way, what pet do you currently have? Let us know in the comments below.
