In Daemons of the Shadow Realm, the power system is all about the Daemons that always come in pairs. These Daemons can have various supernatural abilities, along with the natural traits such as turning into a spirit, hence going invisible.

So far, we’ve seen many Daemons in the anime; however, not all of them are suited for combat. Let’s rank all the Daemons in the anime, according to the show they’ve made of their strength. Let’s dive in.

10 Blacklist Is Only Useful for Information Gathering

Blacklist is the most recent pair of daemons seen in the anime. On one hand, the user can use a pair of big, scary hands that grab the other daemons in hand. On the other hand, there is a living book. The powers of this pair are quite simple: to extract information about the user of the daemons. The Kagemori family uses these daemons during interrogation.

The reason these rank at the bottom is simple: they provide no combat value. They are incredibly useful for information gathering; however, even then, the daemons have to be captured first, which Blacklist cannot do by themselves.

9 Fore Tiger & Rear Wolf Are Amazing Support Daemons

Just like Blacklist, Fore Tiger, and Rear Wolf are useful for information gathering. Together, they are known as the techie daemons as well, as they can learn and keep up with modern technology. Hana used them to track Yuru, who had been taken to the Kagemori residence.

Not even the Kagemori were able to tell how they were tracked, which proves Hana’s daemons are really useful in that use case. However, they too rank near the bottom, for not providing any real combat value.

8 Rabbit and Turtle Are Amazing for Handling Multiple Enemies

Rabbit and Turtle come straight from the story of the race between a rabbit and a turtle. Their powers are also quite simple. Rabbit is fast and acrobatic, and he can fight normal people enough to hold them back or hurt them a little. On the other hand, the Turtle can use its weight to hold back others in place.

Together, they don’t have much strength to defeat others; however, we’ve seen Turtle holding one of Yuru’s daemons in place, which proves that with the right commands from the right users, they can prove to be really useful.

7 Gabriel Is One of the Most Versatile

Gabriel is a pair of upper and lower jaws with many eyes. Gabriel can change its size; however, we do not know how big they can get. The teeth on these jaws are incredibly hard and sharp, as they cannot be pierced by bullets, and one bite is enough to kill almost any other daemon or human. Because of its toughness, Gabriel can be used as a shield as well.

The only reason Gabriel ranks this low is that the way of fighting is very predictable. Gabriel will reach you and bite you. Even Yuru was able to fight against Gabriel because of that. However, for someone who can’t see them, Gabriel is a pair straight out of a horror movie.

6 With Scavenger, the User Is Never Unarmed

Scavenger is a pair of two angler fish-looking daemons, Makoto and Ai. Ai is a big anglerfish that can float in the air, go through objects, and has the ability to swallow anything and everything. Furthermore, with the antenna on the head, Ai can lure enemies by creating an illusion. In the anime, Jin used Ai to create an illusion of Asa, which lured Yuru.

On the other hand, Makoto is a smaller fish that can vomit anything that Ai has consumed, be it weapons or everyday objects. With the right user, such as Jin, these daemons are very handy. However, they rank this low because, at the end of the day, their power depends on the user.

5 Long Arms and Long Legs Are as Strong as They Are Scary

Long Arms and Long Legs are one of the scariest-looking daemons. As their names suggest, one of them has really long arms, and another one has really long legs. Their powers haven’t been explored much in the anime; however, they were instantly able to kill multiple humans before even being seen by Yuru’s daemons.

Furthermore, Yuru’s daemons themselves declared that Long Arms and Long Legs cannot be handled by just anyone, and then everyone should stay back. Together, they are clearly in one of the stronger categories. However, since there isn’t much we’ve seen about them yet, they rank in the middle.

4 Yin and Yang Can Hold Back Anyone

Yin and Yang are a pair of daemons currently in contract with Asa. Together, they have barrier techniques. By the order of their previous master, they were able to capture Asa, Yuru, and Yuru’s daemons in a separate dimension: one full of light, and another full of darkness.

While for combat, they aren’t very useful, they are clearly able to separate and then kill anyone by simply keeping the opponent inside them. However, they are also really weak themselves, as we saw in the anime.

3 With Black & White, Possibilities Are Endless

Black & White are among the strongest daemons in the anime. They appear to be nothing more than very small fluffy balls of black and white, but their abilities are most broken. The white can erase anything from existence, and then the black can rewrite on white.

This ability can be used in many ways. Theoretically, entire daemons can be erased and then replaced with something else. In fact, the user can gain a massive terrain advantage with the help of these daemons. However, the only reason they are not ranked in the top two is that the use case of these daemons is highly dependent upon the imagination of the user.

In the anime, their user is a manga artist from the Kagemori Family, so these daemons are perfect for him. However, in the hands of a normal person, they may as well be the weakest.

2 Left and Right Guardians Are Pure Powerhouses

Left and Right are the daemons of Yuru, the protagonist of the anime. They appear to be a really muscular man and a really muscular woman. They are practically made out of stone, which makes them pretty much indestructible. Just like Gabriel, the bullets of any kind didn’t have any effect on them. Furthermore, they can turn into a mythical beast form that can change shape.

Together, they were able to take down helicopters, fly at immense speed, and sense the city itself. In a battle against most daemons, Left and Right will come out victorious.

1 Oshira-Sama Are as Mysterious as They Are Strong

We’ve only seen Oshira-sama once in the anime. They appear to be a pair of a woman in white, and a white horse. Left and Right, the daemons of Yuru, along with Dera and Hana, described them as practically a god. It is said that encountering them and coming out alive is a miracle by itself.

However, their powers are not demonstrated anywhere, as they are very peace-loving daemons that do not take any side. In fact, their master is none other than an old woman who has no problem with anyone in the anime. However, by the description of the legends, they are clearly the strongest daemons seen in the anime.
