All 3 God Devil Fruits in One Piece, Explained

Oda’s Final Saga has dramatically shifted the way fans perceive Devil Fruits within One Piece. The once straightforward Devil Fruit system based on Paramecia, Zoan, and Logia powers now feels far more mythological. Starting from Luffy’s Sun God Nika reveal in Chapter 1044 and continuing through the Elbaf arc with the recent reveal of Imu’s terrifying abilities in Chapters 1179 and 1180, Oda appears to have introduced three god-like Devil Fruit abilities that may play a very crucial role in the final saga of the series.

1 Monkey D. Luffy’s Sun God Nika Fruit in One Piece

The first official God-class Devil Fruit introduced in One Piece was the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, used by Luffy in Chapter 1044. For years, readers assumed that Luffy had rubber abilities thanks to the power of the Gomu Gomu no Mi devil fruit.

However, later it was revealed that the World Government intentionally kept the fruit’s true identity hidden because of how dangerous the Sun God Nika truly was. According to One Piece lore, Nika is viewed as a legendary liberator, though some characters also fear his destructive potential.

Apart from being ridiculously powerful, what makes this fruit special is how perfectly it matches Luffy’s personality. After awakening his Devil Fruit during the Wano Country arc, Luffy turned into the “Warrior of Liberation,” acquiring Gear 5 as well as the ability to fight with complete freedom.

2 Loki’s Warrior God Nidhoggr Fruit in One Piece

In the Elbaf Arc, Oda officially expanded the God Devil Fruits concept even further by introducing Loki’s terrifying Mythical Zoan-type Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Model: Nidhöggr (Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhöggr) ability in Chapter 1174. Here, Oda heavily borrows from Norse mythology as Nidhoggr is often connected to destruction and chaos. Unlike Luffy’s bright and joyful Nika powers, Loki’s dragon form feels violent and catastrophic. This contrast between liberation and destruction seems intentional, especially since both characters are now being positioned as major figures in the final saga of One Piece.

3 Nerona Imu’s Akuma no Mi

Chapter 1179 introduced perhaps the most terrifying God-class ability yet – Nerona Imu’s Akuma no Mi, also known as the Devil’s Fruit. However, unlike other Devil Fruits in One Piece, this one appears to work in a very different way and seems to predate all other Devil Fruit abilities in the series.

This revelation changes the entire power hierarchy of One Piece. While Luffy symbolizes freedom and Loki represents destruction, Imu embodies absolute control and fear. Oda has carefully portrayed Imu as the ruler standing above the entire world for centuries, which makes the Devil’s Fruit feel almost like the opposite of Nika’s liberation powers.
