War Machine Is On Netflix’s Most Popular Films List

According to TheWrap, the film has accumulated approximately 139 million views, officially securing a place among the platform’s Top 10 Most Popular Films of All Time. During its first eight weeks alone, the movie generated 233.2 million viewing hours and 128.4 million completed viewing equivalents, or views, making it one of the biggest streaming hits of the year.

The movie’s success was almost immediate, with fans swarming to the streamer to see Ritchson in that familiar action-hero role. In its opening weekend, War Machine recorded 39.3 million views, debuting at No. 1 on Netflix’s English-language film charts.

Its straightforward, action-heavy premise and cliffhanger ending generated significant interest and speculation online. Hughes has also hinted that he and Ritchson spent considerable time mapping out future stories. Before the sequel was officially announced, both men suggested they already had extensive plans for where the franchise could go next.
