Adeyemi: “I was a Bayern fan, but Dortmund became my favourite team”

Karim Adeyemi was a Bayern Munich fan growing up, but his time at Borussia Dortmund saw the club become his favourite.

Born in Munich, Karim Adeyemi came through FC Bayern's youth academy before moving on and eventually making a name for himself at RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.

In an interview with AS, Adeyemi revealed that he grew up supporting Bayern Munich but developed a stronger affinity for Borussia Dortmund during his four-year spell at the club.

“I spent three years at Bayern Munich and they let me go. I’m from Munich, so I was a Bayern fan, but over time Dortmund became my favourite team,” said Adeyemi, who left Borussia Dortmund for FC Barcelona in the summer.

“I watched a lot of their games as a teenager. I like both clubs and have great memories of my time at Bayern, but I loved my time at Dortmund. The stadium and the fans are incredible.”
