Spoiler Alert !!!
This article contains spoilers from Dragon Ball Super manga.
In Dragon Ball Super, some fighters don’t just defeat their enemies; they move so fast that their opponents can barely keep up! God Ki changed the game by allowing certain fighters to reach levels of power that ordinary warriors can only dream of.
While Gods of Destruction and Angels have their own divine abilities, a few mortals have also gained access to this power. From Goku’s incredible reactions to Vegeta’s destructive strength, these six fighters have different ways of gaining the upper hand. Let’s rank them by their combat speed and fighting abilities.
6 Uub’s Hidden God Ki Holds Incredible Potential
Uub from the Dragon Ball Super manga. | Credits: ShueishaUub might not look like a powerful fighter yet, but he has something special hidden inside him. As the reincarnation of Kid Buu, Uub carries the divine energy of the Grand Supreme Kai, who once lived inside Majin Buu. This power becomes important during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, when Goku faces Moro in the manga’s final battle.
In chapter 66, Goku struggles to defeat Moro after the villain fuses with the Earth. Just when things look hopeless, Uub sends his hidden God Ki to help Goku regain enough strength to finish the fight. This moment reveals how much power Uub holds, even though he has barely begun to explore it. Even though his connection to divine energy gives him enormous potential, his speed remains largely untested, which is why he ranks sixth.
5 Merus’ Angelic Training Gives Him Incredible Speed
Merus from Dragon Ball Super. | Credits: ShueishaMerus is an interesting entry because he was originally an Angel trainee serving undercover in the Galactic Patrol. While operating in this mortal disguise, Merus utilized the principles of Autonomous Ultra Instinct to train Goku and briefly clash with Moro, though he could not wield the technique at full potency without exposing his divine identity.
Merus revealed his true ceiling during the climactic battle against Moro, before fading from existence. Though the Grand Minister ultimately revived him as a true mortal with a standard lifespan, Merus lands at fifth because even though he retains extraordinary combat instincts and martial mastery, his mortal status permanently strips away the limitless divine power of a full Angel.
4 Toppo’s God of Destruction Form Boosts His Power
Toppo from Dragon Ball Super. | Credit: Toei AnimationToppo proves he is much more than a powerful member of Universe 11’s Pride Troopers during the Tournament of Power. In Dragon Ball Super, he embraces his role as a God of Destruction candidate and unleashes his destructive power against Android 17 and Frieza. His new form gives him access to Hakai energy, making his attacks even more dangerous.
Toppo earns fourth place because he can put enormous pressure on his opponents with powerful attacks. However, destructive power does not always mean greater speed. Unlike Goku, Toppo has not shown the same level of automatic reactions, and his fighting style relies more on overwhelming force. That keeps him below fighters who have demonstrated more advanced ways of reacting to attacks.
3 Moro Gained Angelic Powers Through Merus
Moro from Dragon Ball Super. | Credit: Viz MediaMoro was already a serious threat because of his magic and ability to drain energy from others. Things got worse when he gained Seven-Three’s copying abilities and later absorbed Merus’ powers during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. This gave Moro access to angelic abilities and Ultra Instinct-like movements, making him much harder for Goku to handle.
Moro’s borrowed powers allowed him to fight Goku on an incredible level, but his body could not handle the strain. He eventually became unstable and merged with the Earth, forcing Goku and the others to find a way to stop him. Moro ranks third because he combined speed with magic and copied abilities. Unlike Toppo, he could threaten his opponents in several different ways, even if his new power did not last.
2 Vegeta’s Ultra Ego Turns Destruction Into Power
Vegeta debuts his most powerful transformation, Ultra Ego. | Credit: Viz MediaVegeta has always wanted to stand alongside Goku, and his training under Beerus gives him a new way to do that. During the Granolah the Survivor Saga, Vegeta unlocks Ultra Ego in manga chapter 74. The form draws on the power of destruction and allows him to grow stronger as he takes damage, although there are limits to how much punishment he can endure.
Ultra Ego fits Vegeta’s personality perfectly. He refuses to back down, even when an opponent seems stronger than him. However, taking hits is not the same as dodging them, which makes his speed harder to judge. He ranks second because of his incredible combat skills and mastery of divine power, but Goku’s ability to react and evade attacks gives him the advantage in this ranking.

Goku takes the top spot because Ultra Instinct allows his body to react to danger without waiting for his conscious mind to make a decision. He improved his control over the technique while training with Merus during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. Later, in manga chapter 85, Goku reveals True Ultra Instinct while fighting Gas, allowing him to use his emotions instead of forcing himself to remain completely calm.
What makes Goku stand out is how quickly he can respond to an opponent and change his approach during a fight. Vegeta’s Ultra Ego rewards him for taking damage, while Moro’s angelic abilities were borrowed and unstable. Goku has spent several arcs improving his Ultra Instinct, making him the strongest choice for first place.
