50 Strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece, Ranked

1 week ago 6

Spoiler Alert !!!

This article contains some spoilers from One Piece manga.

Devil Fruit powers have always been the foundation of the power system of One Piece, and the Final Saga has escalated them to an entirely new level.

With the manga currently progressing through the Elbaf arc of the final saga, here is a ranking of the best Devil Fruits in One Piece based on power, versatility, lore importance, and battle impact.

50 Pamu Pamu no Mi (Gladius)

The Pamu Pamu no Mi is not flashy compared to the god-tier abilities revealed in the Final Saga, but it deserves credit for being one of the more creatively destructive Paramecia fruits in Dressrosa. Gladius was essentially turning the battlefield itself into a minefield during his fight against the Happo Navy and the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

Pamu Pamu no Mi allows user to cause his own body or any inorganic object he touches to swell up and rupture, resulting in massive explosions.Gladius is using his powers in One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The biggest reason it ranks this low is because of the lack of versatility outside of destruction. The Pamu Pamu no Mi still relies heavily on setup and positioning. Even so, it becomes dangerous in crowded battles.

49 Mane Mane no Mi (Bentham)

The Mane Mane no Mi honestly feels more dangerous politically than physically. Bon Clay mostly used it for deception during the Alabasta Arc, but Oda also quietly showed how terrifying it can be in the wrong hands. The old user of the fruit manipulated Wano’s history itself by impersonating Sukiyaki decades before the main story.

Bentham is known for his unique ballet-themed clothing and the ability to mimic others using the Clone-Clone Fruit.Bentham from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

That single event alone proves why this fruit belongs on the list. A fighter can dodge punches, but it is much harder to defend against someone stealing identities and manipulating governments from the shadows. In a series filled with wars and conspiracies, perfect impersonation has frightening long-term value.

48 Noro Noro no Mi (Foxy)

The Noro Noro no Mi is one of the biggest “wasted potential” Devil Fruits in One Piece. Foxy used it mostly for comedy during Long Ring Long Land, but if a serious top-tier fighter had access to slowdown beams, the fruit would become terrifying in serious combat. Even slowing an opponent briefly creates a huge opening.

Foxy possesses the Noro Noro no Mi (Slow-Slow Fruit), which allows him to shoot beams that slow down targets for 30 seconds. Foxy the Silver Fox from the anime One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

It does not matter how physically strong someone is if their movements suddenly become delayed. The fruit feels intentionally balanced by being given to a comedic character because stronger users would make it unfair.

47 Wara Wara no Mi (Basil Hawkins)

Hawkins’ Devil Fruit perfectly matches his personality because the ability rewards calculation over aggression. During Wano, Killer was forced into an impossible situation because hurting Hawkins also harmed Kid through the straw doll connection.

Basil Hawkins possesses the Wara Wara no Mi (Straw-Straw Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit.Basil Hawkins from a still. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit also feels uniquely chaotic. Oda mixed voodoo-like mechanics, tarot symbolism, and life substitution into one ability, which gives the fruit a unique identity. Hawkins himself lacked the ambition to push it further, but the fruit clearly has higher potential than what was shown.

46 Horo Horo no Mi (Perona)

Perona’s fruit feels broken because it targets emotions. During the Thriller Bark Arc, several Straw Hats collapsed instantly after being hit by Negative Hollows despite having physical capabilities far better than Perona’s.

Perona possesses the Horo Horo no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to conjure and control ghosts.Perona, also known as the “Ghost Princess” from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

With astral projection, Perona was able to get an excellent scouting ability long before Observation Haki became common. The only major drawback of this fruit is that it does not work on emotionally pessimistic individuals, like Usopp.

45 Zou Zou no Mi, Model: Mammoth (Jack)

Jack’s Mammoth fruit is not ranked highly because of its versatility. Instead, it earns its place through pure endurance. The Mink Tribe fought him for days on Zou, and even after facing Sulong warriors and later the Samurai alliance in Wano, Jack constantly returned to battle.

Mammoth, an Ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a massive mammoth.Jack the Drought from the One Piece anime series. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit perfectly represents Ancient Zoans. It’s brutal, tough, and designed for war. While Jack may lack the intimidating presence that Kaido possesses, his fruit makes him very hard to bring down.

44 Yomi Yomi no Mi (Brook)

Although Brook’s fruit at first seemed ordinary, Oda later managed to create a much weirder ability for him. During the Whole Cake Island saga, Brook possessed the ability to communicate with spirits, attack Homies, and resist several soul-related abilities from Big Mom.

Brook gained his immortality and skeletal form after eating the Revive-Revive Fruit (Yomi Yomi no Mi).Brook from a still. | Credits: Toei Animation

The Devil Fruit silently transformed from “the revive fruit” to an extraordinary soul-based technique that provided unique advantages when fighting spiritual foes. Brook freezing Prometheus during Whole Cake Island remains one of the most underrated Devil Fruit moments in the series.

43 Kage Kage no Mi (Gecko Moria)

To be honest, the Kage Kage no Mi appears to be a fruit that has Yonko-like potential wasted on the wrong user. Moria was able to produce zombies, make giant creatures such as Oars stronger, and even temporarily turn Luffy into Nightmare Luffy just by manipulating shadows.

Gecko Moria is shown using his Kage Kage no Mi devil fruit ability to manipulate shadows.Gecko Moria, a major antagonist from the One Piece series. | Credits: Toei Animation

What stops this fruit from achieving its full potential? It is none other than Gecko Moria himself. The defeat by Kaido several years ago turned Moria into a lazy and dependent warrior. Imagine how scary it can get when some other person with Haki uses this fruit.

42 Shiku Shiku no Mi (Doc Q)

The Shiku Shiku no Mi immediately stood out during the Winner Island fight because it introduced biological warfare into top-tier combat. Watching Law’s crew suddenly suffer bizarre diseases in Chapter 1063 made the fruit feel genuinely unsettling.

Doc Q is known as the "Death God" and serves as the doctor for the Blackbeard Pirates.Doc Q and his horse, Stronger, from the anime One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The scariest part is how unfair it feels. Physical strength alone cannot fully protect against sudden illness, and that can become a nightmare against certain opponents.

41 Riki Riki no Mi (Jesus Burgess)

On first impression, the Riki Riki no Mi seems too simple to be included in the category of advanced Devil Fruits. However, Burgess was casually lifting massive landmasses during the Egghead arc, instantly proving how absurd pure strength enhancement can become in One Piece.

Jesus Burgess, also known as "Champion," from the anime and manga series One Piece.Burgess is known for his immense physical strength in One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit perfectly matches Burgess. Oda did not complicate the power of the Devil Fruit since the members of Blackbeard’s crew already focus on brute strength.

40 Wapu Wapu no Mi (Van Augur)

Teleportation makes any fighter more dangerous, especially when combined with a sniper. Van Augur showcased this perfectly during the Winner Island conflict through instant repositioning of his teammates on the battlefield.

Augur possesses the Warp-Warp Fruit (Wapu Wapu no Mi), allowing him to teleport himself and others.Van Augur, the sniper for the Blackbeard Pirates from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The reason this fruit ranks higher than many combat-oriented powers is its strategic value. Instant teleportation makes a pirate crew difficult to predict.

39 Suke Suke no Mi (Shiryu)

The Suke Suke no Mi reached its full potential when it was in the possession of Shiryu. He was able to turn the fruit into a true assassin’s weapon.

Shiryu is shown utilizing the Suke Suke no Mi (Clear-Clear Fruit), which allows him to turn invisible.Shiryu of the Rain from the anime One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

This fruit became far scarier simply because someone like Shiryu inherited it.

38 Shima Shima no Mi (Avalo Pizarro)

Pizarro’s island fusion powers during the Hachinosu battle instantly made him feel like a living fortress. The sheer scale of controlling an entire island’s structure gave the Blackbeard Pirates another terrifying battlefield specialist.

Pizarro uses the Shima Shima no Mi (Isle-Isle Fruit) to merge with and manipulate the island's environment. Pizarro from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The scariest part about this fruit is how difficult it becomes to counter conventionally. Fighting Pizarro essentially means fighting the island itself. In naval combat, especially, this fruit could become devastating because environmental control is extremely valuable in One Piece‘s world.

37 Bari Bari no Mi (Bartolomeo / Semimaru Kurozumi)

One of the most defensive fruits in the entire series is the Bari Bari no Mi, thanks in large part to the fact that Oda demonstrated Kozuki Oden’s failure to penetrate Semimaru’s barrier during the Wano flashback. That one instance alone was enough to boost its reputation once you consider the fact that Oden left a permanent scar on Kaido.

Another example of the versatility of the barriers is demonstrated by Bartolomeo. While in Dressrosa, he made use of the fruit not only for defensive purposes but even to create things like stairs.

36 Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus (Queen)

Queen’s fruit perfectly captures Oda’s weird balance between comedy and danger. The absurd “Brachio Snakeus” reveal during Onigashima looked ridiculous, but it was also surprisingly effective against Sanji because of the raw crushing force behind it.

Brachiosaurus Devil Fruit, allowing him to transform into a dinosaur.Queen from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

Queen’s upgrades are the main reason this fruit ranks this high. Even during comedic moments, it still felt genuinely dangerous throughout Wano.

35 Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon (King)

King’s Ancient Zoan became one of Wano’s most dangerous combat fruits due to its excellent combination with King’s Lunarian body. During his battle against Zoro in Onigashima, King constantly switched between overwhelming speed and near-unbreakable durability. Oda treated King less like a dinosaur and more like a flying natural disaster.

Pteranodon, an Ancient Zoan-type fruit that allows him to transform into a pteranodon. King from the One Piece series. | Credits: Toei Animation

King’s aggressive fighting style pushed the fruit to another level. King firing his own beak as a weapon looked both ridiculous and dangerous. Together with fire abilities and flight capacity, the fruit made King one of Kaido’s most dangerous commanders.

34 Toshi Toshi no Mi (Jewelry Bonney)

For years, Bonney’s fruit looked like simple age manipulation, but Egghead completely changed how fans viewed the fruit. Chapter 1098-1103 revealed that the fruit could create future forms shaped by possibilities and imagination.

Bonney possesses the ability to manipulate her own age and the ages of others using the Toshi Toshi no Mi Devil Fruit. Jewelry Bonney from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

Bonney using ‘Distorted Future’ and later ‘Free Future’ to transform herself into a fully realized form mimicking the Sun God Nika proved that the ability is tied entirely to imagination and potential timelines rather than strict linear biological aging.

33 Hana Hana no Mi (Nico Robin)

Robin’s fruit has become one of the series’ most versatile abilities. Although she mainly used it for assassination and espionage back at Alabasta and Enies Lobby, she took her skills to an entirely new level in Wano. Chapter 1021’s Demonio Fleur made Nico Robin feel like a significantly greater threat physically.

Robin ate the Hana Hana no Mi (Flower-Flower Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to sprout her body parts on any surface, including other people.Nico Robin from the One Piece anime series, specifically during the Thriller Bark Arc. | Credits: Toei Animation

Very few Devil Fruits remain useful in almost every situation the way Robin’s does. In fact, Robin’s abilities have continued evolving creatively throughout the series.

32 Mera Mera no Mi (Ace / Sabo)

The Mera Mera no Mi remains iconic because Ace made fire itself feel cool and overwhelming during Alabasta, Banaro Island, and Marineford. His clash with Blackbeard in Chapters 440 and 441 still stands as one of the most memorable Logia showcases in the series.

Sabo later proved during Dressrosa that the fruit still had room to grow. It ranks lower because magma was established as naturally superior to fire through Akainu. Even then, few fruits match the raw destructive power.

31 Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami (Yamato)

Yamato’s Mythical Zoan immediately stood out because of its direct connection to Wano. The fruit being described by Kaido as the “guardian deity of Wano” in their battle on the rooftop contributed immensely to the significance of the fruit.

Okuchi no Makami, a legendary wolf deity. Yamato from a still. | Credits: Toei Animation

The Makami fruit is one of the most balanced Mythical Zoans in the series. Yamato, matching Kaido’s hybrid form while defending against his attacks in Chapter 1019-1025, demonstrated this.

30 Jiki Jiki no Mi (Eustass Kid)

The true capabilities of Kid’s fruit were only seen when he faced Big Mom at Wano. Chapters 1030 and 1039 revealed far more advanced applications of the fruit through Assign and Damned Punk.

Kid is a user of the Jiki Jiki no Mi (Magnet-Magnet Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to manipulate magnetic forces to attract and repel metal objects.Eustass Kid from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

What made the fruit powerful is its ability to scale. Through the use of the entire environment against Big Mom, Kid was able to turn magnetism itself into a battlefield weapon.

29 Gasu Gasu no Mi (Caesar Clown)

Caesar’s fruit is perhaps one of the most unsettling Logia fruits due to how its power directly targets the human body. The danger of combining science, poisonous weapons, and oxygen control was showcased through Punk Hazard.

Caesar Clown is a user of the Gasu Gasu no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform into gas.Caesar Clown, a mad scientist and the main antagonist of the Punk Hazard Arc in One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

Removing oxygen from a room made physical defense almost meaningless.

28 Suna Suna no Mi (Crocodile)

The Devil Fruit belonging to Crocodile still feels dangerous even hundreds of chapters later. In Alabasta, he almost managed to kill Luffy through dehydration before Haki was introduced into the plot.

Crocodile is shown using his Logia-type Devil Fruit, the Suna Suna no Mi, to control sand.Crocodile from the One Piece series. | Credits: Toei Animation

Marineford proved this fruit still belonged among the series’s most dangerous Logias. For example, Crocodile casually controlled sandstorms, briefly intercepted Mihawk during the war, and influenced high-level battles.

27 Ito Ito no Mi (Donquixote Doflamingo)

The Ito Ito no Mi is one of the best examples of a simple power becoming terrifying through creativity. From string clones and parasite manipulation to airborne flight and finally to the famous Bird Cage, which trapped an entire country.

Doflamingo possesses the Ito Ito no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows him to create and manipulate razor-sharp strings. Donquixote Doflamingo from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

It was awakened in chapters 785-790 with even more insane abilities. Doflamingo perfectly showed how terrifying Devil Fruit mastery can become.

26 Mochi Mochi no Mi (Charlotte Katakuri)

Katakuri’s Special Paramecia became legendary largely because of how perfectly it worked with his Future Sight. During the Mirror World fight in Whole Cake Island, Luffy struggled to even land clean hits because Katakuri reshaped his body around nearly every attack.

Katakuri is a user of the Mochi Mochi no Mi, a special Paramecia-type fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform into mochi. Charlotte Katakuri from the anime One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit itself is already flexible and powerful, but Katakuri elevated it through mastery. His awakening, covering entire environments in mochi, made the battlefield itself dangerous.

25 Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu (Sengoku)

Sengoku’s Buddha transformation remains underrated mostly because Oda has not fully explored it yet. Even during Marineford, the massive shockwaves generated by his attacks were enough to pressure Blackbeard’s crew instantly.

What makes Sengoku’s fruit stand out is its incredible destructive force. Unlike many Zoans that focus purely on physical boosts, Sengoku’s fruit also grants ranged devastation.

24 Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix (Marco)

Marco’s ability to regenerate himself is so crazy that, whenever he enters a fight, fights often turn into survival contests. This was seen at Marineford, but then reiterated once more at Wano Island when Marco briefly held off both King and Queen at the same time.

Phoenix" Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit, which allows him to transform into a phoenix and regenerate from almost any damage. Marco, the former 1st Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. | Credits: Toei Animation

Marco was able to survive attacks that would have otherwise taken any other commander out of the fight immediately.

23 Doku Doku no Mi (Magellan)

One of the deadliest powers in the series belongs to Magellan’s poison-based fruit. In Impel Down, even the Blackbeard pirates came very close to death underestimating him, which speaks volumes about his ability.

Magellan's attack consists of an incredibly corrosive purple poison that can melt even stone and wax. Magellan from the anime One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

Apart from that, Magellan’s Venom Demon form during the prison chaos made the fruit feel almost apocalyptic.

22 Mero Mero no Mi (Boa Hancock)

Hancock’s fruit power is far more dangerous than we initially thought. Despite proving during the Marineford War that all Marines and Pacifistas were turned into stone instantly, their encounter with Blackbeard in Chapter 1059-1060 made the fruit power even more terrifying.

Boa Hancock's attack is powered by her Devil Fruit, the Mero Mero no Mi, which can turn enemies into stone based on their feelings of lust or love.Boa Hancock from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The truth behind the fruit’s power was revealed when Blackbeard stated that the power of Boa Hancock could petrify most opponents if given the opportunity. This revelation greatly raised the fruit’s threat level.

21 Nikyu Nikyu no Mi (Bartholomew Kuma)

Kuma’s Devil Fruit honestly feels like several different abilities combined into one. Thriller Bark introduced shockwave attacks and instant travel, but Egghead revealed the emotional and memory-related applications of the fruit in heartbreaking detail.

Bartholomew Kuma possesses the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi (Paw-Paw Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that manifested paw pads on his palms.Bartholomew Kuma from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The moment Kuma extracted Luffy’s pain after Thriller Bark remains one of the most iconic demonstrations of Devil Fruit versatility. Few powers can repel physical attacks, abstract concepts, and even people themselves across entire oceans.

20 Hobi Hobi no Mi (Sugar)

The Hobi Hobi no Mi might honestly be the most unfair Paramecia in the entire series. During Dressrosa, Sugar casually erased people from existence by turning them into toys. This was accompanied by memory erasure. Whole families and even whole armies forgot their beloveds on contact.

Sugar wields the Hobi Hobi no Mi (Hobby-Hobby Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to transform any living creature she touches into a toy. Sugar from the anime One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

This fruit ranks this high because it completely ignores normal battle logic. A physically weak user could still dismantle kingdoms through a single touch. If Usopp had failed to stop her in Chapters 758 and 759, the rebellion would have completely collapsed.

19 Fuwa Fuwa no Mi (Shiki)

The Fuwa Fuwa no Mi deserves more respect because it grants large-scale environmental control that very few Devil Fruits can match. Shiki was literally levitating islands decades before the current timeline.

Shiki possesses the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi devil fruit, allowing him to levitate himself and any non-living matter he touches.Shiki the Golden Lion from the One Piece anime. | Credits: Toei Animation

The freedom this fruit gives its user is honestly absurd. During Strong World, Shiki effectively turned the skies into his battlefield. Even though the movie is not fully canon, Chapter 0 confirmed his abilities and reputation within the manga timeline.

18 Mori Mori no Mi (Ryokugyu)

Ryokugyu’s Forest Logia instantly felt dangerous the moment he appeared in Wano. Unlike traditional elemental Logias, this fruit constantly spreads and absorbs life from the surroundings. In Chapter 1053, he casually drained multiple enemies while restoring himself simultaneously.

Ryokugyu is using his Mori Mori no Mi Devil Fruit powers, which allow him to create and transform into flora.Ryokugyu, also known as Greenbull, a Marine Admiral from the series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit feels especially oppressive in long battles because Ryokugyu becomes harder to wear down over time.

17 Zushi Zushi no Mi (Fujitora)

Fujitora casually summoned meteors during Dressrosa in Chapters 713 and 717, instantly showing that this fruit operates on a scale far beyond normal combat abilities.

Admiral Fujitora possesses the power of the Zushi Zushi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to manipulate gravitational forces. Admiral Fujitora (Issho) from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The reason this fruit ranks higher than many Logias is that gravity affects everything. Fujitora can pin enemies down, manipulate debris, and alter entire battlefields without relying on elemental weaknesses. Only Fujitora’s restraint keeps this power from feeling unstoppable.

16 Soru Soru no Mi (Big Mom)

What makes Big Mom’s fruit frightening is that it uses psychological intimidation along with pure versatility. During Whole Cake Island, Totto Land itself felt alive because nearly every object contained fragments of stolen souls.

Big Mom is one of the "Four Emperors" of the sea and possesses the power of the Soru Soru no Mi (Soul-Soul Fruit), allowing her to manipulate souls.Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom, from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit also becomes even more dangerous in combat. Zeus, Prometheus, and Napoleon were essentially living weapons with unique personalities. In Wano, Big Mom constantly shifted between elemental destruction and soul manipulation.

15 Hie Hie no Mi (Kuzan)

The Hie Hie no Mi fruit can be regarded as one of the most complete Logias in the series. Kuzan permanently freezing half of Punk Hazard after his ten-day battle with Akainu completely changed how fans viewed Admiral-level powers.

Aokiji possesses the Hie Hie no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform his body into ice.Aokiji (Kuzan), a former Marine Admiral from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

Kuzan freezing entire oceans with almost no effort is what makes this fruit so intimidating. Unlike more chaotic abilities, the Hie Hie no Mi feels terrifying because it is so controlled.

14 Goro Goro no Mi (Enel)

Even after all these years, the Goro Goro no Mi still looks like an awesome Logia Devil Fruit introduced too soon into the story. The lightning abilities used by Enel in Skypiea had too much destructive power for that point in One Piece, even when Enel would eliminate whole parts of Angel Island kilometers away.

Enel ate the Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble-Rumble Fruit), a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform into electricity.Enel from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The series strongly implies this fruit is among the strongest Logias, and this makes sense because lightning already offers speed, destructive power, and range. Better Haki would allow Enel to be considered a strong opponent.

13 Pika Pika no Mi (Kizaru)

The Pika Pika no Mi feels broken purely because of the speed involved. Kizaru’s light-based movement and attacks during Sabaody already felt impossible for the Straw Hats to handle, but Egghead pushed the fruit even further against Gear 5 Luffy.

Admiral Kizaru is activating his Glint-Glint Fruit (Pika Pika no Mi) power, which allows him to create and control light, transforming his body into light particles.Admiral Kizaru (Borsalino) from One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

What makes this ability terrifying is how hard it is to react consistently. Laser barrages, instant movement, and explosive kicks give Kizaru almost unmatched battlefield mobility.

12 Magu Magu no Mi (Akainu)

Akainu’s magma fruit still carries one of the most brutal reputations in the series because Marineford permanently changed how fans viewed offensive Devil Fruits. Ace’s death in Chapter 574 became the defining moment for the Magu Magu no Mi.

Sakazuki is shown utilizing his Devil Fruit power, the Magu Magu no Mi (Magma-Magma Fruit), a Logia-type ability that allows him to transform into and control magma.Sakazuki, better known as Akainu, from the anime series One Piece. | Credits: Toei Animation

The fruit ranks this highly because Oda directly stated its offensive power is among the highest in One Piece. Unlike regular fire, magma keeps burning and overwhelming targets even after impact. Simple magma punches already feel catastrophic enough.

11 Ope Ope no Mi (Trafalgar Law)

The Ope Ope no Mi feels almost unfair compared to most Paramecia fruits. Every arc since Sabaody has added another layer to its versatility. Teleportation, amputations, internal destruction, silence fields, and awakening attacks all make the fruit absurdly flexible.

Trafalgar Law is using the Ope Ope no Mi (Operation-Operation Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create a spherical space where he has total control.Trafalgar Law from One Piece activating his “ROOM” ability. | Credits: Toei Animation

The reason it stops just outside the Top 10 is that it relies heavily on the user’s stamina and intelligence. Still, Chapters 1030 and 1038 proved Law’s awakening could severely damage even Big Mom internally. Add the immortality surgery lore on top of that, and it becomes obvious why the World Government values this fruit so highly.

10 Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu (Kaido)

Kaido’s dragon fruit completely dominated the Wano Arc from beginning to end. Flame clouds, tornadoes, lightning, Boro Breath, hybrid transformations, and monstrous durability made the fruit feel almost limitless during the rooftop war.

Kaido, in his Azure Dragon form, a power granted by a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit.Kaido in his Azure Dragon form. | Credits: Toei Animation

What pushes this fruit into the Top 10 is consistency. Kaido fought the Scabbards, Supernovas, Yamato, and finally Gear 5 Luffy. Even after all that, he still looked nearly unstoppable. The fruit represents the peak of Mythical Zoan power.

9 Iba Iba no Mi (Saint Sommers)

The Iba Iba no Mi immediately stood out during the Elbaf events because of how punishing it feels in close combat. Saint Sommers’ thorn-based powers made direct attacks dangerous, creating pressure even before the battle fully escalated.

Saint Shepherd Sommers possesses the Iba Iba no Mi (Thorn-Thorn Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create and manipulate razor-sharp thorns and vines.Saint Shepherd Sommers, a member of the Holy Knights in the One Piece series. | Credit: Shueisha

The ability feels more focused on control and punishment than flashy destruction. Even with limited appearances so far, it leaves the impression that weaker fighters would not survive prolonged contact at all.

8 Aro Aro no Mi (Saint Gunko)

Gunko’s Devil Fruit quickly became one of the strangest abilities introduced during the Elbaf storyline. The fruit’s strange battlefield manipulation and unpredictable effects immediately made it stand out among the Holy Knights.

Gunko and Shamrock with Loki from One Piece manga. Holy Knight Shamrock and Gunko from the One Piece manga. | Credit: Shueisha

What makes the ability so dangerous is the uncertainty around its limits. The Aro Aro no Mi falls into the second category, which arguably makes it scarier in the long run.

7 Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Qilin (Saint Killingham)

Saint Killingham’s Mythical Zoan instantly felt unnatural compared to most Devil Fruits introduced before the Final Saga. Oda added dream-like abilities that made the fruit even stranger.

Killingham possesses the Kirin Devil Fruit, a Mythical Zoan type that allows him to materialize dreams.Saint Killingham, a member of the Holy Knights in One Piece. | Credit: Shueisha

The fruit ranks this high because it feels tied directly to the larger mysteries of the Final Saga rather than ordinary combat scaling. In recent Elbaf chapters, Killingham’s powers created the kind of eerie atmosphere usually reserved for endgame villains when it manifested the Rain God Zaza. The fruit already feels very different from standard Zoan transformations shown earlier in the series.

6 Yami Yami no Mi (Marshall D. Teach)

The Yami Yami no Mi remains one of the most dangerous fruits ever introduced simply because it breaks the normal Devil Fruit system. Blackbeard nullifying Ace’s fire powers during their fight in Chapters 440-441 completely changed the rules readers understood about Logias.

Blackbeard is shown using the powers of the Yami Yami no Mi (Dark-Dark Fruit), a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create and manipulate darkness.Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, from the anime series One Piece. | Credit: Shueisha

What makes the fruit terrifying is not just darkness manipulation but control. Blackbeard can drag opponents toward him, negate abilities through contact, and amplify destruction with black holes. Oda constantly portrays this fruit as unnatural.

5 Gura Gura no Mi (Whitebeard / Blackbeard)

The Gura Gura no Mi still deserves its “world-destroying” reputation after everything shown in Marineford. Whitebeard splitting the sea itself during Chapters 564-565 remains one of the biggest raw power displays in One Piece history.

Whitebeard possesses the Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit), a Paramecia-type fruit that allows him to generate massive vibrations and shockwaves.Edward Newgate, better known as Whitebeard, from the anime series One Piece. | Credit: Shueisha

Blackbeard, inheriting the same power, immediately shifted the global balance. The story consistently presents the Gura Gura no Mi as one of the ultimate symbols of overwhelming force.

4 The Five Elders’ Yokai Transformations

The Gorosei transformations completely changed the atmosphere of the Final Saga during Egghead. Saturn regenerating from massive damage in Chapters 1094-1109 instantly made the Five Elders feel less like politicians and more like monsters from ancient myths.

Each Elder transforms into a distinct monster based on mythical beasts or yokai from folklore.Five Elders (Gorosei) in One Piece Chapter 1110. | Credit: Shueisha

The reason these abilities rank this high is that they still feel partially unexplained. Their yokai-inspired forms, terrifying durability, and seemingly immortal nature. Oda clearly wants readers to question whether these powers even follow normal Devil Fruit rules.

3 Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhogg (Loki)

Loki’s Mythical Zoan immediately became one of the most hyped powers in the Final Saga, the moment the massive black dragon form appeared during Elbaf. The Nidhogg inspiration ties directly into Norse mythology and destruction.

Nidhogg.Loki from One Piece transforming into a massive black dragon, a form confirmed in chapter 1174. | Credit: Shueisha

Even with limited information, the fruit already feels absurdly powerful because of its scale and narrative importance. Oda usually saves dragon imagery for world-changing characters like Kaido.

2 Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika (Monkey D. Luffy)

Gear 5 completely transformed One Piece combat during the climax of Wano. Luffy grabbing lightning, reshaping environments, and fighting with cartoon-like freedom in Chapters 1044-1049 made the fruit feel almost limitless.

Nika devil fruit, which grants Luffy immense freedom and rubber-like powers.Monkey D. Luffy from the anime series One Piece in his Gear 5 transformation. | Credit: Shueisha

Imagination itself becomes part of the fighting style. Egghead expanded this even more when Luffy fought Kizaru and Saturn simultaneously while constantly bending the rules of battle. Oda clearly positioned Nika as the embodiment of freedom, which is why the fruit feels narratively unstoppable.

1 Akuma no Mi (Imu)

Imu’s power currently feels like the ultimate endgame ability because Oda still refuses to fully explain. The strange powers linked to Imu, particularly the “Omen” ability we saw in Chapter 1180.

Imu possessing powers that allow them to transform into a devil-like creature in One Piece. Full-body reveal of Imu from One Piece Chapter 1180 of the Elbaf arc. | Credit: Shueisha

What makes Imu’s ability rank above everything else is narrative weight. Every major mystery in One Piece – the Void Century, the Ancient Weapons, Joy Boy, and the World Government – seems connected to Imu in some form. Oda deliberately keeps the full nature of the power hidden, which makes it even more terrifying.
