The iconic line comes from the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron in The Transformers: The Movie from 1986. After years of fighting, the two leaders finally face each other in a brutal one-on-one fight.

Megatron questions why Optimus would throw his life away so recklessly. Optimus responds by turning the question back on his enemy. Megatron then refuses to back down and declares that he will crush Optimus with his bare hands. That is when Optimus gives one of his most famous answers –

Meanwhile, his career went far beyond Transformers. Cullen was also famous for voicing Eeyore in the Winnie the Pooh franchise and several other iconic characters, including voicing in several anime promos for Toonami, including Dragon Ball Z and Gundam Wing. Across more than six decades, his voice became instantly recognizable to millions of fans.

Cullen died peacefully at his Los Angeles home on August 26, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by his family. Tributes poured in from fans and fellow creators who remembered the lasting impact of his work.
