It is undeniable that, gradually, Netflix is growing into a massive hub for anime fans to flock to and watch a plethora of titles – from old classics to modern-day animation masterpieces. With that being said, we often get confused about what to choose from and watch; Netflix’s library for anime is really extensive.
While we can’t control what you watch, we can at least point you in a direction, and that’s why this list was created. Here are our top picks for you to watch this month on the platform, in June 2026, ranked by how strongly we recommend the series.
10 Assassination Classroom
Assassination Classroom | Credit: Studio LercheWhile Assassination Classroom has been available for a while now, this is probably the best time to tune into the series, since Season 2 was recently released on June 1, 2026. Season 2 is the final season of the anime series, completing the story for the modern-day shonen masterpiece by Studio Lerche.
The series follows Koro Sensei as he teaches the students of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High while threatening to destroy Earth in one year. The series combines comedy, action, and surprisingly emotional character development, culminating in one of anime’s most memorable endings.
9 My Happy Marriage
My Happy Marriage | Credits: Kinema CitrusMy Happy Marriage from Kinema Citrus was one of Netflix’s biggest romance anime hits from 2023, becoming a flagship exclusive on the platform. Its blend of romance, supernatural, prominent character development, and animation prowess has earned it a large international following – expanding the beautiful love story of Miyo and Kiyoka.
If you are a romance anime lover, we highly recommend this series. With Season 2 of the series concluding in 2025, there is a new 3-episode special continuation scheduled to release on Netflix in 2026 – the release date has not been specified yet.
8 Pluto
Pluto | Credits: Studio M2Based on one of the most acclaimed manga by Naoki Urasawa, Pluto is an adaptation of The Greatest Robot on Earth Arc from Astro Boy. If we consider it among the best anime titles from the 2020s, the series is one of the finest anime productions – with movie-level animation, directing, and voice acting.
The story explores mature themes of war, grief, prejudice, and artificial intelligence, perfectly resonating with the current times, as AI has become an integral part of daily life. Without expanding much, Pluto narrates a brilliant story with just 8 episodes.
7 Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners | Credits: TriggerBased on the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is one of the most tech-savvy and intriguing sci-fi series on Netflix today. Apart from constant gore that will churn your stomach, the series follows a very narrow storyline that is filled with emotional impact and heartbreak from losses.
The action is impeccable, especially paired with the unique and striking color palette by Studio Trigger. If you haven’t already, we urge you to join David and Lucy on their journey to the moon with the series in June 2026.
6 Sakamoto Days
Sakamoto Days | Credits: TMS EntertainmentWith drama, comedy, and action all merged, the Sakamoto Days anime series by TMS Entertainment is the complete package to indulge yourself in a lively afternoon watch. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, the retired number one assassin in the world, who now runs a convenience store. As Shin and others come searching for him, Sakamoto finds himself fending off others in the weirdest fights.
The series is an absolute blast for anyone who is looking for a good time. With Season 1 finished airing, Season 2 is on the horizon for release, which means now is the best time to get into the series.
5 Delicious in Dungeon
Delicious in Dungeon | Credits: TriggerThis adventure fantasy anime series caught us by surprise with how good it looks – very rarely do we see Cooking and Dungeon raiding being merged and becoming a success. The Delicious in Dungeon series received several nominations in last year’s Anime Awards 2025 by Crunchyroll, one of the most prestigious anime-specific award ceremonies.
However, many can mistake it for a light-hearted casual watch; while it starts as a quirky fantasy-comedy about cooking monsters in a dungeon, the world-building becomes remarkably deep and cohesive as the story progresses.
4 Dandadan
There isn’t much to say about the Dandadan anime series – other than it’s absolutely awesome in every aspect you look at it. Within a very few episodes, the series became a global sensation among the anime community. It has tacky colors, smooth animation, a compelling and hooking storyline, and most of all, a main male and female lead who are absolutely adorable.
With Season 1 and Season 2 released in quick succession, the expected timeline for Dandadan Season 3 is anytime soon in 2026. It’s the perfect time to start, catch up, or even rewatch the previous two seasons.
3 Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End | Credits: MadhouseFrieren: Beyond Journey’s End is one of the biggest hits from 2023, earning several awards and receiving global acclaim from fans. What makes the anime so big is the massive lore and storytelling the series offers, following the life of Frieren and her companions as they traverse the lands filled with fantasy and adventure.
Frieren would be one of our top recommendations for you if you haven’t watched it yet. There’s a soothing and calming factor to the series that is perfect for the warm summer afternoons of June 2026.
2 Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga | Credits: Wit Studio/MAPPAThe Vinland Saga series, written by Makoto Yukimura, is one of the biggest sagas of adventure in a Viking world from the anime medium. The story follows a young Thorfinn who seeks revenge against Askeladd for his father’s death, but grows up into a changed man afterwards.
The complex story of losing oneself to anger and then reawakening as an advocate of peace is what makes it so beautiful. To top that, both Wit Studio with Season 1 and MAPPA with Season 2 did commendable jobs with arranging the animation, background score, and music to bring the epic tale to life.
1 One Piece
One Piece | Credits: Toei AnimationThere isn’t much to say about One Piece – it is by far the biggest anime series on Netflix and probably the greatest shonen anime of all time. Netflix is already simulcasting the Elbaph Arc as the series comes out, but they also have some exciting news for June 2026.
While they are adding more to the series’ library, the Whole Cake Island Arc is reportedly being added to the platform this month. We won’t tell you to start the One Piece series unless you are absolutely committed, since the series is still ongoing with more than 1000+ episodes.
