When it comes to the Bleach anime and manga series, the main antagonist, Yhwach, is one of the most overpowered characters in the series. His special skill, the Almighty, not only allows him to scout every possible future but also to rewrite them to his own wish – he can literally change the outcomes of battles just like that.

However, the world of anime doesn’t hold back either, with characters who make Yhwach’s broken ability look like child’s play. Without further ado, here are some of the most powerful anime characters who can potentially bypass, nullify, or even overpower Yhwach’s Almighty.

1 The Almighty’s Future Perception Will Never Work Against Zeno

This one is an absolute no-brainer: Yhwach plays with futures and outcomes; Zeno from the Dragon Ball series erases them from existence. The cute little blue and purple anomaly is the strongest creature from the series, and most probably the strongest anime character of all time.

Zeno won’t only nullify the antagonist, but they will literally drive him into despair – Yhwach will be able to see that he is going to be erased; he will also see how it’s going to happen – but he won’t be able to do anything about it. It will be like a ticking clock of impending and unavoidable doom for him.

2 True Dragon Rimuru Can Keep Making New Possibilities to Predict

Slotting the Bleach antagonist with the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime protagonist, Rimuru Tempest, is a methodical dismantling of the former’s signature move. While Rimuru isn’t conventionally strong, and a one-sided beatdown isn’t in order, his powers come from a more analytical and technical destruction.

This cute little magical girl might be the bane of existence for Yhwach if they ever crossed paths somehow: Madoka Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka Magica doesn’t fight in the future; she rewrites the laws that create it. She became a Goddess and rewrote a universal law across every timeline simultaneously – past, present, and future.

The Almighty’s process has three steps: perceive possible futures, select the desired one, and rewrite reality to match – Madoka’s counter hits step one before it can happen. What makes Goddess Madoka so frightening from a power-scaling perspective is the simultaneity of her wish. So, even if, no matter how far-fetched it sounds, Yhwach manages to escape into a different timeline, he isn’t safe there either.

4 Featherine Augustus Aurora Can Rewrite Yhwach’s Future With Ease

While Featherine Augustus Aurora is primarily the antagonist from Umineko: When They Cry, she appears in Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou under the name Eua. Both series are part of the same When They Cry franchise. Now with that out of the way, let’s talk about her matchup with Yhwach, or rather, less of a matchup.

Featherine doesn’t even exist in a natural plane – she is basically the author of the storyline and narrative. What future can Yhwach see when she can rub him out of existence, like a mark of black ink that fell on paper? It’s almost as if Yhwach decided to fight against Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.

5 Gojo’s Six Eyes and Infinity Works Faster Than the Almighty Rewrites

There’s a reason why Satoru Gojo is Jujutsu Kaisen‘s “strongest” sorcerer and still commands respect outside of his anime and manga series. Although Yhwach probably defeats him in a 1v1 battle, his Six Eyes and Infinity combo, along with the Unlimited Void, a Domain Expansion that relies on flooding the opponent with unlimited information, make it really difficult for The Almighty. How many futures do you think Yhwach can see and alter at the same time?

By the time Yhwach is even close to finding an optimal future that favors him, he is probably already struck by a Hollow Purple. To top that, his Domain activation is almost instant, so there might be a sliver of hope for Yhwach to activate the Almighty before it hits; if not, it gets really difficult.

6 Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine Slashes Concepts Like the Almighty

Continuing on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series, we have Ryomen Sukuna, the strongest Sorcerer from the Heian Era. Again, Yhwach will most likely defeat him in a 1v1 battle. However, what makes Sukuna a good contender is his cold and stoic personality and his thirst for blood and destruction – and the fact that Gege Akutami gave him a Domain Expansion that destroys beyond the tangible.

Under the Malevolent Shrine’s influence, Sukuna’s Cleave is a sure-hit move that isn’t restricted within a barrier. Furthermore, Cleave not only cuts and destroys the body, but it also destroys concepts. Yhwach will likely survive after getting hit with Cleave, but it will still counter The Almighty.

7 Medaka Would Learn the Almighty’s Mechanics and Reuse Them Better

It’s like placing the ultimate gamble with Medaka Kurokami from the Medaka Box anime, putting her against the Bleach antagonist Yhwach. Medaka’s The End ability lets her learn Abnormalities and completely master them, to the extent that she can use them to 120% of their capability. She can essentially become Yhwach and overpower him with her own version of the Almighty.

However, we’re not calling it a gamble for no reason: Even if The End can copy the Almighty, there’s a brutal timing issue – the moment Yhwach activates it, he can see all futures – including the one where Medaka copies it and defeats him; he would rewrite that future away before The End completes. Her technique has to be faster than his.

When Anos uses Vold, the target isn’t a person or an object; it’s the logical framework underpinning whatever he’s destroying. When he decides to use it on Yhwach’s Almighty, Vold wouldn’t counter future-sight, or block rewrites – it would undermine the premise that futures can be seen and selected at all.

10 Giorno’s Evolved Stand Can Revert Every Almighty Effect to Zero

Last but not least, Giorno Giovanna’s evolved Stand, the Gold Experience Requiem from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series. His Stand resets all actions and their outcomes to zero, creating a state of “infinite death”; nothing Yhwach wills can ever reach a result.
