Ottawa Police Service officers also seized an undisclosed amount of cash at the Rideau Street residence.

A news release on Oct. 31 said members of the OPS Central Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) were conducting Tobacco Tax Act enforcement in the 100 block of Rideau Street when they came across the woman selling unmarked cigarettes.

Police added that the raid and arrest followed “previous seizures involving the same person.”

The latest raid brings the total number of unmarked cigarettes seized by the Central NRT unit to approximately 90,000, police said.
