Will the British royals cross paths and make amends following years of reported estrangement or is their relationship irretrievably broken?
Harry will be in New York between Sept. 22 and 29 to “participate in engagements with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst,” a spokesperson told Britain’s Daily Mail.
“In addition, he will be furthering the work of The Archewell Foundation, the non-profit organization he co-founded with his wife Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex.”
William may also be in town for the third annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, which is being held on Sept. 24.
Although William’s attendance hasn’t been confirmed, the Prince of Wales appeared at last year’s event.

The last time the brothers spoke to each other was reportedly at the funeral for their grandmother Queen Elizabeth nearly two years ago, but they “barely exchanged a word,” according to Harry’s memoir Spare.
“I always said the brothers would be there for each other at the end of the day, and that’s been proven wrong so far,” a friend of both told The Sunday Times.

The feud began in late 2018 when Harry complained to William that not enough was being done to include the Duchess of Sussex in the royal family, reports Cosmopolitan.
By October 2019, Harry admitted that there was a rift with his brother.
In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced they would be stepping back from their royal duties. They would eventually leave Britain for the sunnier climes of California.

If William does travel to New York City, it is likely the brothers will avoid each other.
A source said William has no interest having Harry attend his coronation when the time comes to crown him king, calling the current situation “dreadfully sad.”
“This year his focus has very much been on his wife, his children and his father,” the insider told the Daily Mail. “His brother isn’t really something that’s discussed.”
