Luckily, the New Zealand trick works just fine on PS5 and Xbox; however, platforms like Steam and Battle.net variants are out of luck here. Steam and Battle.net versions of the game have a staggered release time. Meaning that their launch timings are fixed, so no matter what timezone you choose, the game will release at the given time only!

For those who don’t know, the New Zealand trick involves changing the time zone of your device to the said country’s timing. Since New Zealand is one of the first countries to observe the new day early, you get to play the game early using this trick.
