It was thought this alleged vicious killer could be dead.

But Jordan Sangwin isn’t dead and is considered a major public safety risk. Sangwin is not only alive, but walking through neighbourhoods in Toronto that look much like the one in Mississauga in which he is alleged to have murdered his parents.
Carol Sangwin, 70, and Garwood Sangwin, 71, were slain by blunt-force trauma in a violent attack at the family home on Briarwood Ave. on Thursday, June 18.

Their 46-year-old son, believed to be travelling on foot, has been on the run ever since.
Other than some security video of him in Port Credit minutes after the incident, he seemed to disappear into thin air for three full days. There were searches of nearby parks, the Mississauga waterfront, and even some locations in Toronto.
But several days went by and there was nothing.
Until Monday night. That’s when a home security camera captured video of the suspect walking by the house.

Police searching in High Park
“He last seen near High Park in Toronto around 11 p.m.,” Peel police said in a tweet late Tuesday.
In video police released, Sanguin is seen walking at a brisk rate and walking with purpose. Where he was heading or coming from is not known.
Police have been down to the area and it is believed he’s managed to duck into one of the many nooks and crannies of that area that are difficult to get into it. While he is playing his own version of Catch Me if You Can, police are cognizant of the potential danger that could come to the public or their own way as they try to apprehend him and take him into custody to face the murder charges.
“Do not approach,” warn police, adding he is “wanted for first-degree murder” and “wanted on a Canada-wide warrant following a double homicide” and is to be “considered armed and dangerous.”

Victims remembered as warm and loving
Meanwhile, friends and family are mourning the slayings of these Mississauga citizens.
“Family and friends are heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of Carol and Gary, beloved parents, grandparents, family members, and friends,” said a post on the GoFundMe crowdfunding site which has been set up by family friend Christina Comfort to help surviving children get through an “unimaginable loss” and to help cover funeral costs.
“Carol and Gary’s love extended far beyond their immediate family. As Grandma and Grandpa, they brought warmth, laughter, guidance, and unconditional love to their grandchildren. Their absence will be felt deeply, and they will be profoundly missed by all of the grandchildren whose lives they helped shape,” said the tribute.

“Caleb and Evan (their other children) are facing the unimaginable reality of saying goodbye to both of their parents while navigating the many challenges and unexpected expenses that come with such a devastating loss.”
As the family sort out this disturbing tragedy, police are looking for the alleged killer who is also the victims’ own son.
Said Peel police, the suspect is of “medium build, short salt and pepper hair, clean shaven” and “wearing a grey long-sleeve shirt, dark shorts and carrying a black duffle bag.”

It’s believed he is hiding out in wooded areas in parks, but police remind it is a crime to harbour a fugitive wanted for murder.
Jordan Sangwin is currently out there, in public and on the loose.
Peel Regional Police say, “Call 911 immediately if you spot him.”
