On Tuesday night at Toronto Stadium, the man who is up for re-election to run soccer’s international governing body was in attendance for the match between Croatia and Panama.

Infantino took in the Group L match while sharing a luxury box with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and shared a post honouring Luka Modric, who was making his 200th appearance for his national team.

Infantino’s appearance in Toronto was his first in the city during the tournament, which has seen him jet across North America at a stunning rate.

While the exact amount of his travel is a bit up in the air, so to speak, some online sleuths have pieced together a map of his voyage.

How many flights has Infantino taken?

Sickos Committee, a sports fan account on the social media site X, mapped out Infantino’s flights and came to a staggering conclusion.

The account has tracked 18 flights apparently taken by Infantino since the tournament kicked off on June 11 in Mexico City.

“Not counting repositioning flights, since 6/11 (the start of the World Cup), FIFA President Gianni Infantino has flown 18 times on his private jet for a total of 23,289 miles (37,480 km),” the account posted on Monday. “For reference, the circumference of the Earth is 24,901 miles (about 40,075 km).”

But that’s not including his presumed flight from New York City to Toronto for Tuesday’s match, which adds an estimated 589 km to the total.

Where hasn’t Infantino attended games?

The list of cities in which Infantino has attended games so far over the past two weeks is as impressive as many North American tour by your favourite musical acts.

So far, he has been spotted at games — and documented them on his Instagram account — hosted in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Vancouver, Seattle, Kansas City, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston, New York-New Jersey and now Toronto.

In fact, the only host city he has yet to visit is Dallas, but there are still six games remaining to be played at the Arlington, Texas, venue, including Sweden versus Japan on Thursday.

How exactly is Infantino getting around?

According to a report by The Guardian, Infantino has been able to utilize a private jet on loan from Qatar Airways for the World Cup, as the airline is one of the event’s sponsors.

It has even allowed him to attend multiple matches on the same day in different cities.

On Monday, he was in Philadelphia for the match between France and Iraq – which was delayed for hours at halftime due to lightning in the area – and then jetted north to see Norway take on Senegal at New York-New Jersey Stadium.

He also had attended Brazil-Haiti in Philadelphia and Morocco-Scotland in Boston on Friday.

The flight between the two cities that hosted Morocco vs Scotland and Brazil vs Haiti takes 41 minutes.

The gap between the final whistle of the first match and kickoff of the second was just 30 minutes

Infantino’s travel has raised many questions over the environmental impact of his constant flights with many taking aim at him and FIFA on social media.

“Elite climate hypocrisy at its finest during World Cup 2026,” one user posted on X.

Another estimated that the amount of fuel used could be around “20,000-22,000 gallons” — which carries a price tag of roughly $140,000.
