Usher blames hacker for deleting 7000 tweets but fans don't believe him

2 hours ago 8

Social media was shocked when 7,000 Usher tweets vanished suddenly, and even though the musician stresses he was hacked, fans don't believe him as they see it as a move to cover up his connection to the disgraced Diddy.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, has been arrested and charged with human sex trafficking and racketeering offenses leading to many of his associates to distance themselves from him.

Which is what many fans suspect Usher tried to do when his tweets vanished suddenly just days after Combs' arrest in New York City on the serious offenses which also include transportation to engage in prostitution.

Usher, whose real name is Usher Raymond VI, revealed he was actually hacked and that's why the tweets vanished.

"Account got hacked and damn y'all ran with it," Usher posted to X.com, formerly Twitter on September 22. "See you tonight at Intuit Dome."

However, fans remained unconvinced as they took to social media to call out the Confessions singer in the comments after several celebrities such as 50 Cent, Aubrey O'Day and Mary J Blige called out Diddy.

One user posted, "Usher just made himself a suspect after doing that."

Whilst a second added, "Bro must've had some incriminating evidence in there."

A third commented, "Bro don't know this doesn't do anything but make him look even more guilty."

Usher was hacked after all

However, it turns out Usher wasn't trying to cover anything or nor was he trying to hide any history with Diddy. He actually was hacked.

The hacking took place on September 12 and temporarily caused the visibility of Usher's tweets to be limited until Sunday, September 22 when they came back onto Elon Musk's social media platform.

As per the DailyCoin, a hacker took control of the account and launched a meme coin in his name on the Solana blockchain as part of a "rug pull" scam to bait investors, who went on to lose millions in cryptocurrency.

The hacker then demanded $4700 USD to allow access to Usher's account whilst bragging about his perceived accomplishment.

This happened three/four days before Combs was arrested and charged meaning Usher can't have been reacting to that by "deleting" any tweets.
