Tyra Banks Teases ‘Crazy Idea’ For ‘Life Size 3’ Years After Sequel

“Life Size 2” premiered on Freeform in 2018, with Tyra Banks returning as the lead. Now, years later and ahead of the rerelease of her novel, “Modelland,” the famed supermodel is opening up about her desire to film a third movie, revealing that she had a theater-worthy idea for the plot.

Entertainment Weekly interviewed Banks in October 2026. During the conversation, they discussed Banks’ acting career, specifically her role in “Life Size” from 2000 and its 2018 sequel. The former “America’s Next Top Model” host added, “it should be in the movie theater.”

She added, “You know how when some things are big enough that people will come see a movie? It should have its own popcorn bucket. Like, a ‘Life-Size’ popcorn bucket!” Banks then called her idea for “Life Size 3” “massive” before saying she plans to pitch it to Disney, which is the company behind the first two movies in the franchise.

When asked for details, Banks shared, “It’s love. It’s a romance.”

Lindsay Lohan starred in “Life Size” alongside Banks but did not return for the 2018 sequel. During her recent interview, the beloved model reflected on having reunited with Lohan at the “Freakier Friday” premiere in Australia.

According to her, “Even though she’s a woman, it’s weird, I don’t see that. I see an 11-year-old chilling with me and her brother and me in my hotel room, eating popcorn on the weekends when we weren’t shooting.” She added, “She has a child, but I’m like, you’re still a baby!”

Tyra Banks Previously Discussed ‘Life Size 3’ In 2024

Harper’s Bazaar interviewed Banks in October 2024 amid her return to the runway. During the discussion, the reporter mentioned “Life Size,” stating that they’d love to see another film with Lohan reprising her role. Banks said, “So, I did a second one, but I want to do a third one with Lindsay where she is a doll.”

She continued, “How crazy would that be? Now is the time. I just feel like she’s turned into such a beautiful woman. She’s a mama now. Can you imagine, like, [my character] Eve teaching her [character] to be a doll? But Eve don’t know what the hell life is about anyway, so it’s going to be a hot mess. That is a dream of mine, so we’ll see.”

When talking about her return to modeling, she told the outlet, “I never in a million years thought that I would be back on the runway, but I am so beyond excited and so ready for this.”

Tyra Banks Is Unsure If She Will Return To ‘Project Runway’

Season 22 of “Project Runway” premiered in July and concluded in September, with Banks serving as a guest judge. However, she bumped heads with fellow judge Law Roach during the show and didn’t return for the following episodes.

Recently, while speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Banks said she wasn’t sure whether she’d be featured if and when the show returned. Banks also responded to the commentary around her stint on the design competition series, saying, “They’re like, ‘Oh, she did five episodes, and then she left? She’s supposed to do 10!’ Y’all don’t know what my contract stated. But, you know, what? Continue to enjoy!”

The Reissue of Banks’ ‘Modelland’ Is Coming Soon

Banks released her novel, “Modelland,” in September 2011. Now, over 15 years later, she’s rereleasing it on November 3 to mark its milestone anniversary. Per PEOPLE, Banks will also narrate the new version. She told the outlet, “Gosh. I wrote these characters. I never thought I’d have to BECOME all of them.”

In discussing the recording process, Banks stated, “It was grueling. I mean, GRUELING. Sore throats, backaches, hours and hours in that booth — ’cause the book is 576 pages! But it was also kind of magical.”
