The B.C. Coroners Service has been notified of the incident.
Foul play isn’t believed to be a factor and there is no risk to the public at this time, police said.
“Our condolences go out to the families of these individuals, as well as the witnesses who first came across the incident,” said West Shore RCMP spokesman Const. Andrew Matheson.
Beach and road access in the area might be restricted. The public is asked to avoid the area while the investigation is underway.
