Drivers heading for the Alex Fraser Bridge are advised to brace for major delays after a multi-vehicle crash on the bridge Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred on the bridge’s southbound lanes and has blocked the left and centre lane at midspan while emergency vehicles responding to the scene has blocked two lanes in the northbound lanes, said DriveBC in a post on X just before 6 a.m.

The bridge, which connects Richmond and New Westminster to North Delta, has been reduced to one lane heading south and two lanes heading north during the busy morning rush-hour traffic.
