Highway 1 eastbound is closed to traffic Thursday morning in Langley after a crash that killed one person.

Langley RCMP say shortly before 4:30 a.m., officers were notified of a serious motor vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 at 240th Street.

Investigators say a car and a motorcycle were travelling east on the highway when they collided. The driver of the motorcycle died.

The Trans Canada Highway, Highway 1, will remain closed eastbound between 232nd Street and 264th Street as the investigation continues.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam video from the area is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604 532-3200.
