Toronto Police say a fire and explosion overnight Wednesday at a midtown restaurant is being investigated as a suspected arson.

Police said emergency crews were called to the Eglinton Ave. W. and Bathurst St. area around 2:45 a.m. for a call for a fire and explosion at a restaurant.

Cops were told there was “lots of smoke coming from the business.”

Two neighbouring businesses also were damaged in the blaze.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Police ask anyone with information to call 13 Division at 416-808-1300 or tips can be given to Crime Stoppers.
