This Vancouver donut shop just got its own T-shirt at Roots

A Vancouver donut shop is among six Canadian ‘iconic food stops’ to receive its very own limited-edition Roots merch.

Duffin’s Donuts, a family run outpost located at 1391 E 41st Ave. in Vancouver, is featured in the Toronto-headquartered company’s newly dropped Pit Stops Summer ’26 collection. To help celebrate the collection launch yesterday, the Duffin’s team hosted a donut pop-up at the Roots store on Robson Street.

Founded in 1987, Duffin’s Donuts is often ranked among the city’s best donut shops. Fans shout out the friendly staff, generous selection of donut varieties and freshness of the sweet treats as hallmarks of the destination. For those who don’t love donuts, Duffin’s also offers fried chicken and sandwiches.

Another draw to Duffin’s is the approachable menu pricing. A regular donut is priced at a very reasonable $2, while a fancier fritter rings it at $2.95. Or, you could pack up a whole dozen for $20.

Billed as highlighting some of the country’s most memorably food stops, the Roots collection also features St-Viateur Bagel and La Banquise in Montreal, The Big Apple and Webers Burgers in Ontario, and the original COWS Ice Cream in Prince Edward Island.

The Roots Pit Stop graphics where created in collaboration with Toronto-born multidisciplinary artist and illustrator, Moya Garrison-Msingwana, whose works is also known under the name Gangbox. The illustrations are said to draw inspiration from the “unique identity and iconic menu items that have defined these beloved destinations for generations, transforming them into wearable pieces that celebrate regional pride, culinary culture, and shared nostalgia,” the company said in a news release.
