Amid the fallout, Majors lost roles, including his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. However, the actor later opened up about one of the most heartbreaking aspects of the ordeal, revealing that he was unable to see his daughter during the tumultuous period of his legal troubles.

Following his March 2023 arrest for physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, Jonathan Majors was found guilty of one count of misdemeanor third-degree assault and one count of second-degree harassment in December 2023, as per CBS News.

The trial saw further delays, with sentencing postponed to April 2024, when he was ordered to complete 52 weeks in a domestic violence intervention program and serve probation.

However, ahead of his sentencing, the actor shared his side of the story in an interview with ABC. Admitting that he was “scared,” Majors also opened up about how the lengthy trial affected his personal life, particularly his relationship with his daughter.

I haven’t seen my daughter in a long time and a lot of it has to do with this situation. It all has to do with this situation — It’s been hard… Everything is kind of gone away.

While opening up about the hardships of the trial, Majors also expressed gratitude for the support of his loved ones who stood by him. “I’m really blessed. I’m surrounded by people who love me, who care about me,” he said.

Majors continued, “But this has been very, very, very hard, and very difficult, and confusing in many ways.” As a result of the allegations, he lost the most significant role of his career as Kang the Conqueror in the MCU among other professional setbacks.

However, recent reports suggest that the actor may be on the verge of a comeback. His film Magazine Dreams has secured a release schedule, and he has reportedly landed a new movie role, hinting at a potential revival of his career.

A year after his guilty verdict, Jonathan Majors appears to be gearing up for a return to the silver screen. As per Deadline, the actor has already landed his first movie since his 2024 conviction.

Majors is set to star in the revenge thriller Merciless which will be directed by Martin Villeneuve, the younger brother of the acclaimed filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. Martin Villeneuve is best known for his sci-fi film Mars et Avril.

The movie will mark his first role since his conviction in the domestic violence trial. And it reportedly follows a top CIA interrogator grappling with struggles after the woman he loves is consumed by a malevolent force.

In addition to Merciless, his film Magazine Dreams, which was shelved amid the allegations and trial, is also set to return to theatres. As per Forbes, the film has finally landed a theatrical release on March 21, 2025.

As Majors works to rebuild his career, he is also moving forward in his personal life, as he recently announced his engagement to the actress-model Meagan Good. The two reportedly met in 2022 and began dating in 2023.
