The reason why Cameron Diaz left Hollywood: She opens up with a passionate confession

It's been a while since Cameron Diaz has been in a movie, and there's a good reason why. The celebrity herself has been very clear about why he stepped away from Hollywood and she got passionate about it.

During an appearance at the Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit held in Laguna Niguel in California, she was very sincere when talking about all the time she has been away from the industry.

"I felt like it was something I had to do to get my life back," she confessed. "It's really about asking yourself, what are you passionate about? For me, it was building my family," she added with a big smile on her face.

She will be back on movies

On the event the actress became the center of all the flashes from cameras, as expected. But despite she being out for a while, Cameron will soon be seen starring in Back in Action, a new Netflix film alongside Jamie Foxx. She was still clear about her desires.

"I always thought that I couldn't move forward if I didn't find myself and didn't focus all my energy on being able to move forward," Diaz explained. "You have to figure it out for yourself and take the time, no matter how long it takes you, just do it and you will find your way to your next passion."

But besides her family, she has also been in the industry of wine. Cameron Diaz is the co-founder of the organic and vegan-friendly wine brand Avaline, which she started with Katherine Power in 2020 and she is very passionate about that as well.
