Taylor Frankie Paul Breaks Silence On ‘Way Off’ Claims
MEGATaylor is addressing the latest allegations head-on, saying months of legal proceedings have been overshadowed by misinformation circulating online.
In a candid Instagram video, the reality star reflected on what she described as one of the biggest lessons of 2026, claiming there is “a lot of false information” about her situation and insisting it no longer affects her.
The influencer acknowledged that some of the details reported are true but argued that many claims have been taken out of context. Taylor said she initially tried to have the court proceedings sealed to protect her children, not to hide information, but claimed the request was denied.
She also alleged that details from the case were leaked the same day she was granted a restraining order and said those responsible are being taken seriously. When addressing specific allegations, Taylor stated she never forced her daughter to change diapers, nor did she say that she had an “outbreak.”
Taylor said she had to leave the room to calm herself down because it would help de-escalate the situation. She confessed she is not “the mom of the year,” but she believes that her kids would still want to be with her.
Inside Utah Child Services’ New Petition Over Her Children
Taylor’s response comes after Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services filed a petition asking a juvenile court to determine whether her three children should be classified as abused, neglected, or dependent. The agency is also seeking protective supervision as the case moves forward.
The petition seeks jurisdiction over the children she shares with her ex-husband, Tate Paul, and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. It states that it would like to appoint a guardian ad litem to represent the kids’ interests during the case.
The filing mentions previous issues the family had with DCFS, as well as ongoing custody disputes between the two fathers.
The Blast reported that the Utah Attorney General’s Office filed the petition on behalf of DCFS, including a request for an expedited hearing to move the matter through juvenile court as quickly as possible.
Taylor Frankie Paul Admits The Custody Battle Has Taken An Emotional Toll
Meanwhile, Taylor’s custody battle with former boyfriend Dakota Mortensen has been ongoing and has been a major factor in her life in light of the new petition. In an Instagram reply to an admirer, she confessed that nothing is simple anymore with the extended legal battle, and that she has become emotionally distant from things, as if there is a new normal.
She said she has found some comfort in people who have gone through similar experiences, though she acknowledged that she does not always know what more to say as the situation drags on. Taylor explained that she has come to the point where it’s no longer normal for her to cry, so she’s just as exhausted as can be.
The emotional update adds another layer to an already complicated legal battle that has played out publicly through court hearings, custody disputes, and protective order proceedings.
The Reality Star’s Ex-Husband Made Another Attempt At A Restraining Order
Beyond the DCFS petition, Taylor’s ex-husband, Tate Paul, has also renewed his push for a restraining order tied to their custody dispute. He filed a motion asking the court to reconsider its earlier decision, submitting new text messages he claims show Taylor withholding information about her mental health and treatment.
It was reported that Tate also included evidence he says shows Taylor admitting she stopped physically fighting with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen only after he began filming their interactions. He additionally attached call logs and text exchanges involving members of her family, hoping the new material would sway the court’s stance.
A source close to Taylor dismissed the renewed filing as an attempt to derail her career, as reported by The Blast, pointing out that she had recently spent an entire week caring for her children without incident.

“Facilities are not just for substance,” she said. “I just want you guys to know rehabs are not only for that. There are a list of reasons why people go into them.” Taylor said she wanted to “reset,” step away from the spotlight, and allow herself to decompress after months of mounting pressure.
She also took subtle aim at her ex, Tate, suggesting her private mental health struggles shouldn’t have become public fodder in their ongoing legal battle.
