Just over a year after joining VfB Stuttgart from Crvena Zvezda, Lazar Jovanovic is leaving the club.

The Bundesliga side confirmed on Tuesday that the 19-year-old winger is moving to Serie A outfit Udinese on a permanent basis.

“Lazar enjoyed a promising pre-season and showed his qualities in several friendly matches," said Stuttgart board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth.

"At the same time, competition within our squad is fierce, and the move to Udine gives Lazar the opportunity to get more playing time than he would likely have had with us. We would like to thank Lazar for our time together and wish him all the best for the future."

Jovanovic made a total of six competitive appearances for Stuttgart.
