The sixth episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is titled “Zero Friends Again.” The chapter begins with the kids escaping Nawood through trap doors. They fall into a chilly outside environment, sliding through four conduits until they reach the snow-covered ground. Everyone is unharmed, but KB cannot speak. Fern resets KB’s occipital link.
However, KB seems different, suggesting to her friend they must consider other options. Meanwhile, “Dash” escapes to the ship. He encounters Gunter (Family Matter’s Jaleel White) and Pokkit (Kelly MacDonald), a bounty hunter with a history with him. Jod summons SM-33 (Nick Frost), but Gunter paralyzes him with a blaster.

Disney+’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’s Season 1 Episode 6: What Are Trash Crabs?
According to legend, “trash crabs,” also known as “scrap crabs,” are non-sentient crustaceans living on Trionak. Their magnetic shells attract metal scraps for protection. Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) discovers them and believes they can help the group return to the ship. However, Fern wants to climb the dangerous mountain. Neel joins her, while KB supports Wim.
Meanwhile, Brutus, a vicious pirate searching for Nawood for years, abducts Jod and SM-33. He puts them on trial aboard the pirate spaceship. Brutus sentences Nawood to death by airlock. However, Jod (Jude Law), the charmer, wins the pirates by promising them access to At Attin, the last mint of the Old Republic.
How Does Jod Save Himself From the Airlock?
Claiming he is hungry for wealth, Jod insists everyone should have their share. They do not have to divide. Captain Brutus challenges Jod to show them to take them to At Attin. If he doesn’t produce, he will send Nawood through the airlock. We then see Brutus open it himself, showing Jod his possible future death.
Meanwhile, KB falls to her knees. She tells Wim she has “corroded augs” and asks him to find some parts for her. She can no longer stand. While talking, KB explains that Fern’s brazen attitude often risks KB’s life. Why? Fern assumes KB can be permanently fixed since she is a droid. KB is afraid to tell Fern the truth, fearing she will lose her as a friend.
Disney+’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’s Season 1 Episode 6 Ending Explained: How Does the Skeleton Crew Save the Onyx Cinder?
After Wim helps repair KB, they follow the crabs to their home. However, they soon realize that the little scrappy crustaceans were being used as an offering to the head crab as food. Luckily, Fern and Neel jump onto the Onyx Cynder, which is being pulled by a trash bot. Fern hacks the system from the outside, sweeping the ship at the last moment.
After saving their friends from becoming crab dinner, the king crab throws a stone, causing an explosion that destroys the trash ship. This, in turn, causes the Onyx Cinder to crash to the ground. The group hugs and makes up and apologizes. The episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew ends with the episode’s most exciting scene: they race to save their ship from a trash compactor.
The group climbs in. At first, it resembles the scene from Toy Story 3 where Woody and his friends are about to be thrown into the incinerator. However, at the last moment, Fern becomes the reliable hero. She manages to get the ship to come out of its “shell,” so to speak, by pressing the “sequencer” button, shedding its protective metal shell just like a scrap crab.
