It’s been a while since the release of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, and it’s one of the best experiences one can embark upon in this dark and gloomy franchise. Seriously, developer Saber Interactive has done an incredible job with the game.
So far, more than 5 million players have dived into the game, and Saber wants to grow this number with a number of new content additions in 2025. However, if Saber is genuinely looking to appease the Warhammer 40k community, it needs to make it a priority to bring Adeptus Mechanicus to Space Marine 2.
Space Marine 2 needs playable Adeptus Mechanicus
If you’re unaware, Adeptus Mechanicus is considered to be the master of technology in the Warhammer 40k universe. This group is responsible for maintaining and crafting technology that can ensure humanity’s survival.
As they’re from the forge world of Mars, they tend to integrate science and religion, worshipping Omnissiah, who they believe can be found in all machines.
Saber is looking to elevate the gameplay for Space Marine 2, and one of the best ways to do that would be by making Adeptus Mechanicus playable. This class could serve the role of a glass cannon unit, showcasing to us the true potential of their advanced machinery.
We could see Adeptus Mechanicus units such as Sicarian Infiltrators and Skitarii Rangers dish out lethal melee and ranged attacks with the help of their advanced weapons such as transonic blades or arc rifles. They could be made vulnerable with light armor and other downsides.
Making Adeptus Mechanicus playable in Space Marine 2 as a new class shouldn’t be that difficult for Saber, either. You can already find these Tech-Priests in every corner of the Titus’ Battle Barge in Space Marine 2. Whether it’s testing Carnifexes or repairing Dreadnoughts, they’re always up to something mysterious, and gamers can’t get enough of them.
Space Marine 2 are frustrated due to game-breaking issues
It’s great to see that Saber has managed to stand out from the competition and treated gamers with a title that has a solid roadmap for the future. However, it’s time for the studio to fix the various issues in the game that are causing havoc.
Many gamers on various social media channels, such as Reddit and Saber’s own blog, have reported that their characters’ classes have been completely reset in Space Marine 2, which means their battle-hardened characters are back to level one.
Since Saber hasn’t acknowledged the issue yet, and there’s no confirmation of the source of this issue or how to fix it, gamers believe that staying offline until a patch is brought in is the best solution. Whether or not this bug has happened due to the game’s recent update isn’t confirmed.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen such issues. Right after the game’s release, players complained about how they lost progress and faced level resets. Saber patched it immediately, but it seems like the issue has popped up once again.
