The aerobatics flight teams are expected to fly over Ottawa and Gatineau, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 4.

In a social media post, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds said the formation will generally follow a west-east route along the Ottawa River. It said the teams will fly “at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route.”

“Flybys by RCAF aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled for public safety and are dependent upon weather and flying conditions,” the post said.

The Red Arrows, who are currently on their Maple Hawk Canadian Tour, will perform shows at the Aero Gatineau-Ottawa air show later in the week, on Sept. 7 and 8, where the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will also perform.

The British High Commission relocated its Ottawa staff to their new office at 140 Sussex Dr. in January. The building at 80 Elgin St., sold to the National Capital Commission in 2021, served as the commission’s official offices for over 60 years.
