Savannah Chrisley fiercely defended her unborn child after backlash over her pregnancy and engagement to convicted fraudster Jason Galanis.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum posted a picture of her sonogram Tuesday on her Instagram Stories, noting that her child was worth all the public scrutiny.

“You are not a headline. You are not a controversy,” she wrote. “You are not defined by anyone’s past, anyone’s mistakes, or anyone’s opinions.”

Chrisley noted her child was “innocent, deeply loved and the greatest blessing” to both her and her fiancé.

“No amount of noise in this world will ever overshadow the joy of being your mama,” she wrote.

“You are my answered prayer,” she continued. “And I will never apologize for celebrating you.”

Chrisley, 29, dropped the bombshell that she’s expecting her first child and was engaged in an Instagram video Tuesday. While she didn’t name Galanis, she did note that her fiancé was “much older” than her.

Us Weekly later identified Chrisley’s husband-to-be as Galanis, 56, who’s 27 years older than her.

He was an associate of Hunter Biden who testified in the Republican impeachment inquiry into former President Joe Biden in March 2024 while he was still in prison.

Galanis was behind bars after he was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison in September 2020 for his role in two schemes, including one that defrauded a Native American tribe and investors out of tens of millions of dollars.

Trump commuted his prison sentence in March 2025.

Galanis also has a lot in common with his future father-in-law, Todd Chrisley, 57.

Aside from both being pardoned by President Trump — Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were pardoned in May 2025 after they were convicted for tax evasion and bank fraud — they also served time at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, together. Page Six can confirm Galanis and Todd’s prison time overlapped from January to August 2023.

On her podcast episode of “Unlocked” Tuesday, Savannah defended her and Galanis’ age gap.

“I have always said, ‘I would rather [have] 20 phenomenal, unbelievable years with someone than 50 just [fine] years,’” she said.

Praising Galanis, she said he “does not look his age, nor does he act his age,” and gushed about his “great” body and “even sharper” mind.
