The 55-year-old died “suddenly” on July 5, according to her obituary.

“Beloved wife of the late Rob Ford. Cherished mother of Stephanie and Douglas. Renata will be sadly missed by her family and many friends,” reads the obituary.

There will be a visitation at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, at 2058 Kipling Ave., north of Rexdale Blvd., on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with words of remembrance at 4 pm.

Her funeral mass will be held Monday at All Saint’s Church, 1415 Royal York Rd., starting at 1:30 p.m. with interment at Riverside Cemetery, where Rob was buried after his death in 2016.

‘Heart breaks’ for the children

Renata’s death was shared by her brother-in-law Ontario Premier Doug Ford in a statement to reporters on July 5.

“My heart breaks for Stephanie and Dougie,” Ford said.

“They’ve been through so much at such young ages and losing their mom is incredibly painful. Our whole family is hurting for them.”

A cause of death has not been released.

Renata married Rob in 2000 and was with him until he died from cancer in 2016 after more than a year of battling the disease.

The couple were in the public eye during Rob’s tumultuous time as mayor of Toronto from 2010 to 2014 as he dealt with addiction issues.

Renata attempted to enter federal politics in 2019, when she ran for the People’s Party of Canada in Etobicoke North, but she finished fourth in the race to victor Liberal Kristy Duncan.

Daughter Stephanie Ford is an Ontario Progressive Conservative Party executive vice-president.
