Ottawa west division detectives are looking public assistance to identify a suspect after a maan “n was attacked with a weapon after a confrontation in Barrhaven on Aug. 24.

Police said the victim and the suspect were in an “interaction” at about 7:40 p.m. that evening when the suspect “became aggressive and assaulted the victim with a weapon.”

The weapon was not identified.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, five feet 10 inches to six feet tall, with a medium build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue hooded jacket, black hat with a light brim, plaid pants, black, blue and white Nike running shoes and black gloves.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspect, including video footage, is asked to contact Det. Bradley of the West Criminal Investigative Section at 613-236-1222, ext. 2235.
