Fans are impressed with the visuals and focus on Chinese mythology, and they loved the inspiration of the ambitious Soulslike combat mechanics.

The gaming community is convinced that this new game is a worthy contender and will win every major award during this year’s Game Awards. However, some fans are campaigning hard for the game and believe the game show is rigged if it doesn’t win, ignoring other deserving games.

Black Myth Wukong Is Facing Some Serious Competition for This Year’s Game Awards

Game Science struck gold with this ambitious project and gained the full and unfiltered attention of the gaming community. Fans have been waiting for this project and did not hesitate to preload the game which led to a massive launch of Black Myth Wukong on PC via Steam which is a testament to the fans’ hype and anticipation for this new Soulslike-adjacent project.

The gaming community is already convinced this game has a chance of nabbing every major award for the end-year awards show; however, other games will give Game Science a run for its money. Even if the game has a great chance of winning, there is still a possibility of losing because of some behind-the-scenes tampering with the votes and rigging the upcoming show.

Fans are invested in seeing their favorite games win the awards they deserve. Four years ago, many had yet to move on from The Last of Us Part 2 winning Game of the Year instead of Ghost of Tsushima. There is a strong possibility of history repeating itself when these two games are contenders for this year’s most prestigious gaming awards.

It is worth noting that Helldivers 2 has encountered a flurry of technical issues and is not looking good on the game’s tracker for daily active users. These bugs and issues are decreasing the game’s chances of winning awards, but the developers are actively working for ways to work around these problems.

Despite a massive surge of support from the PC player base, some players had a negative experience playing Black Myth Wukong on the PlayStation 5. Perhaps the game developers are working on a patch to address these issues and stave off negative reviews or further backlash.

Both games are different; however, they have garnered a massive following and the respect of the gaming community. Each player has their own unique preference, but that shouldn’t discredit any game from being nominated.

The gaming community will fight for their picks during this year’s Game Awards and will go to great lengths to prove their point. Both games should have an equal chance of winning, and the community has the right to vote and see the results.

Winning isn’t everything; however, it would be nice to let the people decide. Game development is not for the faint of heart, and the talented developers of Game Science and Arrowhead Game Studios are in good company.
