Among the participants is blueliner Carter Yakemchuk, the club’s No. 7 overall selection in last June’s draft, and winger Tyler Boucher, taken No. 10 by the club in 2020.
Goaltender Leevi Merilainen, who has done a good job pushing for playing time in Belleville, also will be among the netminders. Defencemen Jorian Donovan and Tomas Hamara will help lead the blueline with Yakemchuk.
The Senators will open the challenge Friday against the New Jersey Devils at 3:30 p.m, then face the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday at noon and wrap up the event against the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday at 1:30 p.m.
As the prospects make their way home, Steve Staios, the club’s president of hockey operations and general manager, and the rest of the staff will determine which players will be on hand for the main camp that will get under way Wednesday with medicals at the rink.
