At about 3:45 p.m., a person entered the store in the 1300 block of Carleton, selected some products and then began to walk away. When she was approached by staff, two people assaulted a staff member before leaving the store with the stolen goods, the Ottawa Police Service stated in a Sept. 8 news release.

Suspect 1 was described by police as an Indigenous female who is about 5-5. She was wearing a white ball cap and blue shirt.

Suspect 2 was described as a white male, about 6-0, with a slim build and scruffy facial hair. Police said he was wearing a black T-shirt and beige shorts.
