A 46-year-old man from Perth has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death of another man in mid-April, the Ontario Provincial Police have announced.

Michael Lewis remained in custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Perth, said an OPP media release dated May 12.

The police release requested public assistance in locating two other men who were the subjects of arrest warrants on charges of second-degree murder: Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28, both of Ottawa.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts was urged to contact police immediately. The OPP said investigators believed that Madore was currently in British Columbia and that Kennedy may be either travelling with Madore or still in the Ottawa area.

On Sunday, April 12, at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers from the Lanark County detachment of the OPP responded to Last Duel Park in Perth, where one person was located with life-threatening injuries. Christo Allison Richards, 34, of Ottawa, was transported to a trauma centre and later pronounced deceased.
